Set Up Trainerize to allow us to view whole programs, not just individual workouts
When writing our programs, it would be great if we could write a whole program (multiple days), on a single screen. Having to jump between screens (workout to workout) to make sure we're keeping reps, sets consistent and programs balanced is a bit of a pain and very time consuming. If we could jump on one screen to write out entire program (or at least most of it), I think the software would go next level for us at our facility!
We’re currently looking at this. Does anyone else have any other ideas and comments how this could work?
We’re gathering feedback for this feature. Thanks!
Hey Trevor, if this could work as a side by side where the workouts are listed as an outline, maybe not as detailed... but where exercises and groups of exercises could be cop/pasted, added, dropped, and rearranged throughout a week like in Truecoach or PTDisticion.
I think this would save the effort or having to write it out manually or enter in items manually and the effort of backing out to the list of workouts and searching for the routines you are editing, comparing them side by side via searching for them specifically, or having to click the routine to see the details, and going back in each one individually to edit them.

I would also love to be able to duplicate an exercise within the workout so I don’t have to go find it again if I want to add another round... ie. I want skaters as an active rest, but I only picked it for 4 rounds and realized I actually need 6 rounds... and when duplicated it would copy the time or rep so I don’t have to fill out duplicating info.
In my personal opinion, TrueCoach have pretty much got the program design down to a T.
Being able to see it as a calendar with vast note making abilities is the dream.
TrueCoach only falls down on nutrition and metrics.
100% down with this too! Would love to know if it’s on the cards soon? The ability to see the whole week and better track volume would be incredibly helpful!
Whole Week Program View
as well as Day Progression over Several weeks view would be fantastic. I find its the biggest struggle with this app. Not being able to see what the last Phase was without taking a photo or having to open an entire other screen is just too time-consuming for the technology available these days#

I haven't read other comments so apologies if this is already said....in the workout builder when building a workout within a program. Other workouts within that program to come up as 'tabs' with the workout name. Rather than closing and opening new workouts each time switching between tabs would be much faster. adding a new tab would = creating a new workout within that program.
Could the builder be a week view where you could write for one day and see the other days? Almost like if it was a spreadsheet and each column was a day.
Hi guys. Any update on this? Would love to know where things are at prior to my next trainerize renewal.
Yes TrueCoach have a great top level interface which is in a calender format with the days of the week. You can copy, drag and drop workouts to any day of the week and can see nearly the whole month on your laptop screen.
Yes i totally agree to this!
Something cut out like how Fitbot would save a ton of time since you can see everything laid out in front if you.
I agree totally here! Such a pain in the butt that I have to write all programs down on paper prior to inputting them into trainerize so I can see the entire week in one view. I love trainerize, but this is the only reason I could see myself not renewing and looking at other software options. Not sure how it could be delivered though (sorry) but really hope something comes of this suggestion! 🙌
A table-button which allows for the trainer to choose how many days they choose to make at one time (ex. 3,4..6,7) and then the chosen amount of days would appear as columns and then the exercise library would appear above each column instead of on the right. A "workout title" box could appear at the head of each. Font and text boxes would need to be smaller to fit all the info but this would allow for some serious speed when making workout programs. Then when selecting a single workout option you can look at the progression over several weeks as you currently can.

Yes!! This would be a game changer and something I have wanted for ages. This would really allow more effective and professional periodisation of programs, not to mention save a huge amount of time.
Currently I have to have a client's program open on my phone to view whilst making changes to their program on my laptop in order to keep things consistent and not have to go back and forth between screens.
Also second the feature to be able to track working sets for each muscle group for the week. This is so important!
Lastly if there was a way to overview numerous blocks of programs like @Perla Grigg mentioned in his comment. It is very hard to map out the direction of numerous blocks of programs.
Making it possible to overview a block of say 3 or 4 programs would be amazing!!!! That way we can really map out our programs properly in advance for example a few phases of progressing the back squat might look like
Phase 1 - Back squat: 3x 10-12 reps
Phase 2 - Back squat: 4x 8-10 reps
Phase 3 - Back squat 5x 5 reps
Phase 4 - Back squat 7x 3 reps

This would be a game changer for us! Would definitely like to see a total of working sets.

Trevor, I suggest ghost shopping a software called Train heroic.I think a combination of the functionality would be amazing. to be able to see the days similar to how you can see multiple days in in the progression editor would change the game for a lot of us,.

To expand on my last comment, this could be done by just totaling the working sets for each muscle group from the tags used in exercises. The tags are already there so it would be great to take advantage of them.

In addition to the ideas listed here, it would be great to be able to see total weekly sets performed for each muscle group.
Example: I may know that I want a client performing 18 sets of back exercises during a week, but I may have that split over 3 days where day 1 is 3 sets, day 3 is 8 sets, and day 5 is 7 sets.
Currently I track plan this out in a spreadsheet and then adjust the clients plan accordingly. If I had a way to track this while I was programming it would greatly reduce my time.
I second the desire to track volume. Would indeed be sick.
