Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  3. Ability to log/track and search for 1RM, 3RM, 5RM, 10 rep max history for each client easily

    Currently in the trainerize apk there is a history list and a running bar showing 3 rm, 5rm, max weight ever and max volume. As so, the trainee is unable to quickly check the PRs for the rep range that his/her coach prescribed for the given day.
    Solution:Clicking the exercise leads to a history list with date, reps and weight, swiping left leads to a list of all rep ranges (1-15) and the records for these rep ranges.

  4. Remove estimated workout time (or make it optional)

    Estimated workout time is inaccurate (too short) 99% of the time. Clients are constantly messaging us, wondering if they should’ve done their workouts in half the time — or less. It adds an unnecessary layer of pressure for folks who are already feeling anxious about starting a new program. Please remove, or at least make it optional.

  5. Adding an auto percentage max rep calculator based on 1RM

    I have a suggestion that could potentially help out a Lot of you.
    Adding a PR tracker/calculator to the app. If the client hits a 3RM of
    squat for 205, then that could be added to the clients personal record
    tracker. The calculator part would take the 3RM, and see what percentage
    that is of the 1RM, and state the estimated 1RM. so lets say the clients
    1RM is calculated as 220, then when the trainer says to do 8 reps to fail
    on 8th rep, the client can see that they should be doing around 175lbs.

  6. A inbuilt form builder for weekly check-ins

    A form that allows us to check in with our clients away from our sessions. This form should be automatic and can be scheduled to suit our time and clients.

  7. Exporting Workouts/Programs to PDF

    Can we please have someone spend a bit of time rehashing the PDF export for the workouts? Every time I export my workouts to a PDF, I have to put them through Google Sheets first, so that when printed they line up a bit nicer, and look like some thought has gone into the formatting.

    Specifically;

    (1) It would be really great if the printouts were such a size that the average person's handwriting would actually fit in the boxes,
    (2) Furthermore to this, if I've spent the time to go through and edit all the workouts in the spreadsheet…

  8. Ability to choose 3, 4, 5,or 6 meals for 1500 and lower caloric range

    When putting in a meal plan for someone who may be in the 1500 range to be able to offer them meals plus snacks, not just 3 meals.

  9. Add small group, partner, couple or duo training format. Ability to track multiple clients quickly

    For small groups it would save a lot of time if we would add group workouts to a group of people.

    This would work for small group and semi private clients.

    There could be two options for tracking.

    1. The clients track their own stats (ideal for small groups)

    2. With in the same view/page you could add stats for multiple people in a given workout with out having to switch in and out of clients to add stats (ideal for semi private)

    This is a must have feature. Right now stat tracking for more than one client at a time is…

  10. Ability to track Appointments as "completed, no show, etc" - show completed appointments under each Trainer

    This would be critical for payroll/accounting purposes. As a brick and mortar establishment, we of course kept track of all completed personal training sessions for payroll purposes of our employees. We also tracked/compensated for appointments where the client late cancels, or no shows. If this could be tracked somewhere for easy reporting - like underneath each trainers name and sorted by weekly, monthly, etc it would simplify payroll processing. It would also allow us to charge clients for no shows or late cancels.

  12. Ability to edit/delete a repeated/recurring appointment, auto-message, habit or body stats or workout all together

    I then schedule that message and select repeat every day at 8 am for the next 12 weeks.
    15 mins later I realize I’ve spelled something wrong or it’s at the wrong time or date.
    Now I have to edit / delete each message one by one. The original “parent” message has no ability to interact with the “Child” messages.

    The best example of this is scheduling an appointment on a calendar that has other “reoccurrences” when you up date the parent the child reoccurrences have the option of being updated as well

  13. ability to set or schedule future nutrition goals and see past nutrition goals

    I would love to be able to create a 'new' nutrition goal rather than editing it. Also I'll like to be able to schedule future nutrition goal for nutrition phases and pre-planning of their macros.

    I would like to be able to see what we've done in the past as I don't set goals based on % of macros so when the client is losing weight, the calories and grams of each nutrient changes. I would like to be able to still see past goals for comparison and change over time.

  14. Step challenges

    Hey! Step challenges are highly usable for company groups wanting to track their employees daily movements. Would love if there is a way to display everyone’s steps on a leader board or creating a group goal, such as distances ( New York - LA) or (100 million steps in 100 days ) Or can a daily habit of say 8k steps automatically lead to a habit being checked of ? Thx!

  15. Show more than than 6 clients, Better/More Efficient to scroll and view all clients.

    The current way of having to click the numbers to access different clients is a complete waste of time. TrueCoach and CoachRX just for example allow you to just scroll through them all without having to access multiple pages. That and you only allow 6 per page is also a waste. Please update this as it's so annoying and time consuming and isn't something that would be that hard to transition to.

  16. Polar heart rate technology

    I currently use Polar HR7 Monitor with all clients, tracking training zones, average heart rates and maximum heart rates, this would be great to link with Trainerize so that all session data is recorded automatically.

  18. More automated Message customization options

    More automated Message customization options. Id like the ability to:
    1. send a message when a client misses a set number of workouts.
    2. send a message when a client logs in for a set number of workouts.
    3. send a message based on pre set crieria ( Ex: send message if client Resting HR is above 60. Send message when over/under on calories )

  19. Ability to build my client's custom meal plan template or nutrition plan

    I would like to be able to add my clients diet's nutrition plan to the app and also be able to assign it to the calendar so that they also get the daily meals reminder along with their days workout. Like build out food items and meals in-app.

  20. Onboarding videos for clients

    Create onboarding videos for trainers to use to help their clients to learn how to use the app. I am looking for more support videos from trainerize for my clients. I need videos to show them how to "Find their workouts", "Mark their Workout" as complete, "Substitute Exercises", "Access the On Demand Library", "Take Progress Photos", "Track Body Stats", and "Use the stopwatch or timer". It would be nice if these instructions were uploaded in the Trainerize video library so that we could drop them into their programs or message.
