Being able to have timed exercises and repped exercises in the same workout
Many times in my workouts I have both times exercises and repped. For example maybe I want to give them a cardio burst after their repped exercises in a mini circuit. Like rope jumping after bicep curls and triceps extensions, for example. I would like to time the rope jumping and count reps on the other.
I often create workouts for my weight loss clients where there is very little rest. After each weight/strength set, they immediately do 30 - 60 seconds of intense cardio, such as step ups holding a weight or kettleball, side shuttle runs, strides, medicine ball lunges (on non leg workouts) etc. Sometimes we do the same cardio after each set for the whole workout, sometimes we alternate between two different moves, sometimes I mix it up with four or five different moves and rotate through them. If you put in 12 - 15 strength exercises and the cardio bursts after each one, you have a very intense, challenging workout usually coming in under 45 mins. I'll also plan in two or three 1 min rest/heart rate check/water breaks.
It would be great if Trainerize could recognize that the ability to add the same exercise repeatedly throughout the workout would be very useful.
