hand portion tracker within the hand portion guide habits
I'd love for clients to be able to input/track how many hand portions of proteins, fats, and carbs they hit, rather than ticking or not ticking the habit off at the end of the day. Love that we can set goals for them but this would help as a coach to get a little better idea of what is going on when using hand portions guides.

Ability to set hand portion targets just like macros, and have clients be able to take pictures of meals (as usual) but instead of having the food search bar pop up, just give them the option to add "Protein" "Carbs" "Fats" or "Veggies", with 0.5 increments for half portions
So for example, I could set 5 palms of protein, 6 carbs, 5 fats, and 5 veggies to a client.
Then, when they add meals, the targets add up, just like the macro tracker :)
This would be a total game changer and all the nutrition coaches that took PN would flock to trainerize like seagulls in the mcdonalds parking lot.

It would be very nice to make the portion guides in the habit section more dynamic.
1. Coaches can add their desired numbers of portions (now limited to only 4)
2. for clients instead of just confirming the habit, have a slider under each portion so client can choose for example how many hand portions of protein, carbs, veggies, or fat they had.
This update will be very nice to have!

This is something I have been writing allot, but nobody is listening.
For the portion guides, please provide like a slider where clients can input how many portions they eat instead of just taping done on habit.Also for the coaches, the number of portions you can input is up to only 4 portions, this should be higher up to 10 - 15 as well. thank you.

For habits that require multiple completions (e.g., drinking 8 cups of water or consuming 6 portions of protein), coaches could set a target number.
Clients would then have the ability to tap a "+1" button each time they complete a unit of the habit (e.g., drink a cup of water, eat a portion of protein).
A progress bar or visual counter would show them how close they are to their goal, keeping it engaging and easy to track throughout the day.
This feature would work wonderfully for:Nutrition habits (e.g., "6 portions of protein")
Wellness habits (e.g., "8 glasses of water")
It would add flexibility and visual clarity to habit tracking while making it easier for clients to stay consistent and hit their targets.Thank you for considering this idea—I think it would make Trainerize even more impactful for coaches and clients alike!

I utilize hand portion guides with some of my clients as well as photo food log BUT it would be extremely helpful to be able to have hand portion guide check offs for them daily right inside of the app instead of using pen/paper old school method that way everything is in one place they know exactly what theyve had portion wise and so does the coach

Tracking macros is inaccurate for 99% of clients unless they use a food scale for all of their meals. Many nutrition certifications teach coaches to track food using a hand guide (palm sized protein, cupped handful carbs, thumb of fat, fist of veggies) and competitor apps let clients enter their food this way
