Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Vertical Videos

    Can we allow vertical videos to be uploaded yet?! I have so many videos in my archive to be uploaded and I naturally hold the phone/camera vertically and not horizontally, so I keep forgetting to adjust. But it’d be great if this could happen?! Anyone agree??

  2. option to provide the client with a weight for an exersize based of a percentage of their 1 rep max and for the app to auto calculate this

    make an option to tell your client what weight to use on a specific exercise, however the option should allow you to input the 1 rep max and a percentage and the app should auto calculate this and set the correct weight for my client to lift.

  3. Allow clients to write notes that stick with an exercise

    Similar to how clients can always see their prior weights and reps, allow them to add a few notes to their exercises.

    For example, when they are using a cable machine, they might want to note, which peg hole they had the cable height set to. Or when on a seated leg press machine, how close they were to the footplate.

    Currently, they can only put notes at the end of their workout, but they can't see those notes when doing that same exercise later.

  6. Allow clients to pause workouts and come back without having to click "save"

    Many of my clients have brought to my attention they would like to be able to pause their workouts. In cases where they need to break up their workout they aren't able to pause a workout half way, just save and finish the workout.

  7. Allow planks to be timed instead of only reps

  8. allow options for recording resistance other than lbs.

    Allow options in recording exercise resistance other than just lbs. How about exercise band color, time, or inches (for example squats to a box, you could track progress by going lower and lower)

  10. Add a workout quick edit feature where we can add/remove sets/exercises from future workouts without having to unschedule, edit, reschedule

    Currently, if we want to add or reduce sets in workouts based on client feedback we have to:
    Open the training programme
    Unschedule the future workouts
    Make the changes to the progression spreadsheet (and struggle to remember what the original progressions were)
    Then reschedule.
    Trainerize would be far superior to its competitors if it had a feature allowing trainers to easily scroll forwards to scheduled workouts and make quick edits like adding/removing sets, changing exercises etc

  11. Ability to add weight/load or intensity (%, RIR, etc.) when programming resistance training

    In the workout builder, adding an additional section for the intensity (weight/load, %RM, RIR, etc.) that is separate from the notes section would be helpful in programming. With the current configuration, the reps, intensity/load, notes, tempos, etc. are all in one "box" rather than those being separate. This would clean things up in the program design process, improve "readability" from clients/users, and could open up other options regarding tracking progress over time with exercises

  12. Added Cardio Option

    First, I love the app! Great job!! Can we add "Home Chores/ Yard Work" to Cardio options. I have Moms just getting started and that's a great way to get them up and moving and feeling accomplished.

  14. Add the ability to add weight for banded exercises

    Many brands have weighted bands. With as many home workouts occur, please allow the ability for clients/trainers to input the weight of bands that the client uses/should be using.

    Recommend a notes section for any exercise when building a workout. This allows the trainer to add modifications, options, and safety tips that the client can use inter-workout.

  16. In-app separation of warm ups, workouts and accessories

    Please can we have a way of separating the warm up from the workout / working sets and the accessories?

    A colour-coded system on the client side:
    - blue for warm up
    - red for workout / working block
    - orange for accessories
    - green for cool-down

    A check box on the trainer side that allows us to categorise the various sets into their respective places.

  17. Client editable equipment lists

    Having a tab where the client can add what equipment they have aviable at the gym or at home.

    When I used true coach, this was a really handy tool for programming that the client could input what equipment they had available to them in the gym or a home setting.

  18. I have clients that are requesting to schedule their workouts onto their calendar

    I have clients requesting their workout calendar syncs with their personal calendar, like google. Can we make that happen?

    For example, I want to do "Workout A" tomorrow at 9am.

  20. Quick exercise substitution

    The workout builder includes an exercise substitution tab. Similar to what is in the workout. This would help with program templates. Instead of having to delete each exercise and add new exercises. You would substitute each exercise within the program. This would be beneficial for progressing a current workout into a new workout.
