Coach / Trainer - ABC Trainerize

We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified.

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

Thanks!

  1. Ability to add “sections” to workout customizations

It would be helpful if we could create separate sections in a single workout to include things like:
    A warm up
    AMRAP/Regular Workout
    Cool down

In one full workout. This feature would allow us to write different instructions attached to the different sections. It should also allow us to attach on demand workouts or follow alongs in another section if we would like.

  2. Option to progress workouts via Work time and Rest time in progressions builder.

In the progressions builder, the option to progress workouts by altering both work time and rest time would be very helpful. Altering both allow trainers to progress workouts easily while keeping workout duration consistent.

  3. Exercise Editing on templates

When copying and pasting a master template to a new client, there should be an easy way to keep all of set details but only adjust the exercise.

For example: if Front Squat is in the template for 3x8-12 reps at an RPE of 7. Then it should be easy to copy and paste that to client but then adjust the EXERCISE only to goblet squat while maintaining the contents of exercise and not having to delete and readd the new exercise.

  4. Copy/import WOD to another client

It's not uncommon that I work with semi-private training groups in which we perform a Workout of the Day (or something that may be different from their normal programming). It would be super helpful to have the ability to import a WOD from one client to another so that we don't have to go in and recreate the same thing. Thank you!

  5. Allow exercises to be split within sets instead of having to add, so they can see a drop set etc. more easily

I'd love to be able to have a more simple way of doing drop sets/pyramid sets with clients than having to re-add the exercise as it causes confusion more times than not

  6. Exercise progress included on mobile app and improved for users

Exercise progress should be included in the mobile app.

On both platforms individual exercises included in clients programs should have the option to click on the exercise and redirect the user to a separate page with their progress.

This page should include an interactive graph clearly showing the clients progress over multiple time frames (past 3 months, 6 months and year view)

Also included should be a record of past sessions, sets, reps and weight used.

Lastly a final section for personal records and projections for the exercise should be included at the bottom of this page.
    This section should…

  7. Allow clients to enter the color or weight of bands when tracking superband exercises

Clients that have banded exercises currently only have the option to track reps completed in banded exercises. Please add a box for them to note the band color, or band weight so they can still progress with banded work.

  8. Software

Me gustaría poder mover los éntrenos dentro de la agenda del día y poder cambiar el orden.
También dentro del programa poder ver los entrenamientos creados por categorías o en 2 filas para no tener que pasar a la siguiente hoja .

  9. Window resizing when building workouts

The ability to view your workout and the exercise search window in any window size. That is, if the window is resized to a shorter vertical, the window resizes to fit both the actual workout and exercise search by just scrolling. As it is, both windows are side by side and I can't, say, have another app/window open at the same time.

  10. More exercise variation

There are certain exercises, for example, vertical rope pulls. Most of the time, the exercise are added into the data via YouTube videos. It would nice, if the app has exercise variation in the library.

  11. Top Exercises to Perform on a Chin-Up Dip Station

A home gym chin up dip station is a versatile piece of fitness equipment designed to allow you to perform exercises like chin-ups, pull-ups, dips, leg raises, and more. It's an excellent addition to any home gym because it targets the upper body, particularly the back, biceps, chest, and triceps, with minimal space required.

Key features of home gym chin up dip station

    Sturdy Construction:
Look for a heavy-duty frame made from steel for stability and durability. A strong frame ensures that the station can handle your body weight and any additional resistance (such as weighted vests or bands) safely.

  13. Make it easier to swap/substitute exercises when programming

It would be much easier for us coaches to swap/substitute similar exercises in and out as we create a program. Instead, we have to delete the old and search up a whole new exercise when replacing what a client did prior. This makes fluid exercise progression challenging for clients that like variety.

If we could link together similar lifts / exercises and quickly toggle and swap in a new exercise it would be great.

  14. Basic Workout Routine on a Compact Exercise Bike

A compact exercise bike is a smaller, space-saving version of a traditional stationary bike, designed for home use or limited spaces. These bikes are ideal for people who want a low-impact cardio workout but have limited space in their homes or apartments. They typically offer the same features as full-sized bikes but with a more compact and portable design.

Key Features of Compact Exercise Bike
Space-Saving Design: Smaller footprint, often foldable or with adjustable handlebars and seats for easy storage.
Adjustable Resistance: Similar to regular exercise bikes, they allow you to adjust the difficulty of your workout by increasing or…

  16. Highlight completed sets

After metrics for a given exercise is completed, highlight the area so the clients can easily track their progress as they go down the list. When the clients are tired, the last thing they want to do is try to search for their given spot if they accidentally scrolled up/down. Marking by highlight would promote ease of use and self tracking for them.

  17. I think it is an absolute must for clients to be able to mark/check off an In person class as if it were a regular scheduled "workout".

I think this has to be a must because If a client is always doing your in person class as their workout every day they need to be able to check in/mark it off to receive credit for doing their daily workout! That way it keeps a running tally on how many workouts they completed, workout streaks, etc

  18. How to Perform Chin Up Bar Dips

Chin up Bar Dips are a great bodyweight exercise for the upper body. They can help build upper body strength and improve muscle tone when done correctly.

How to Perform Chin Up Bar Dips

    Set Up the Chin-Up Bar:
Use a sturdy high pull-up or chin up bar dips that can support your body weight. If you don't have a bar with adjustable height, make sure it’s high enough for your feet to hang freely without touching the ground when you are in the starting position.

  20. Exporting Workouts/Programs to PDF

Can we please have someone spend a bit of time rehashing the PDF export for the workouts? Every time I export my workouts to a PDF, I have to put them through Google Sheets first, so that when printed they line up a bit nicer, and look like some thought has gone into the formatting.

    Specifically;

    (1) It would be really great if the printouts were such a size that the average person's handwriting would actually fit in the boxes,
    (2) Furthermore to this, if I've spent the time to go through and edit all the workouts in the spreadsheet…
