Feature requests, ideas and suggestions

We are continually upgrading Trainerize with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other trainers can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our trainer community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our trainer community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of trainers and how it fits with the overall vision of Trainerize.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. be able to rearrange or reorder training phases

    Be able to drop and drop training phases so we can rearrange them for easier editing of programs

  2. Option to change exercises when scheduling progressions (progression spreadsheet)

    A lot of times, especially for newer clients, adding reps or weight isn't the best way to progress an exercises. Sometimes its going from box squat to bodyweight squat, or overhead press to push press.

    Let us change exercises within the progression spreadsheet in addition to modifying reps and sets

  3. Let us build and assign training programs from the app

    Instead of having to jump on the computer, using the app we can assign programs quicker and easier

  4. Intro Videos for each workout

    Ability to post a video on each workout to talk over the session

  5. Ability to disable the reminder for someone needing a new program, as some of our clients don't train with us.

    ability to disable program reminders - some clients don't do training with us, only nutritiion.

  6. Mobility Program

    There should be a pre made Mobility Reset Program that teaches the fundamentals of mobility and free joint movement with no limitations. We live in a society where we have acquired rounded shoulders due to computer and cell phone overusage. Our bodies are tight and most people dont realize how important mobility training is. Mobility training should be coincided with Strength Training. Without Mobility Training, there will be a higher risk of injury.

  7. Client could be in multiple 'master programs' at one time

    Several virtual clients of mine like to look back on other programs we have done. It would be nice for them to ha very access to former programs they've done as well as the current one.

  8. Be Able to Calculate Load Based on 1-RM

    I would love to be able to enter my athlete's 1-RM and then prescribe a percentage load for that exercise, so they can see how much weight to lift for certain lifts.

  10. 1-Rep Maxes

    Allow us to track our client's 1-rep maxes for squat, deadlift, and bench press.

  11. Add the possibility to change rest time in the progression spreadsheet

    Rest time between exercises do no appear on the progression spreadsheet, so if a want to program less rest time between sets on a perioditation it’s harder
