Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  2. allow for reporting of results to send to client

    I would like to have the ability to send my clients a report on their progress, that shows more than just one metric @ a time. It would be cool to show them a report with up to 3 or 4 metrics (EXAMPLE: waist, hip, LBM,FM & Weight ) with the dates of measurements as well. Right now they can only go online and view each individually on a graph. It would be cool to be able to print this out and give them to put on their fridge for motivation.   4. Text to client opposed to just email

    Allow trainers and clients to communicate through text message straight to their phones.

  5. Assign multiple trainers to one client to share

    Some trainers might need to share a client. ie. A trainer is working with a client on mobility/group fitneess. The other trainer is working on core programming.

    It will be good to assign the clients to both trainers.

  6. Make it possible to hide workouts from clients dashboard/calendar until completed

    I wish you could have an option to hide workouts from a clients calendar until they are completed. I like to put 3-4 weeks of workouts in at a time and don't want my client to see what they are. Maybe it would be good to have a label that says Private Training, that only a coach can view, and when completed, they can then view it.

  7. Allow the trainer to set the weight each set should be preformed

    Allow weight sets reps all to be individual boxes instead of combined in the notes tab and allow the weight and reps to be modified for every set by the trainer

  8. Progressions for cardio activities

    Trainerize has incorporated the ability to quickly layout progressions for a particular resistance routine/program. It would nice if we could do the same for cardio with volume, frequency, duration, intensity, level, incline, etc.

  9. Lifetime points for rewards or levels system to redeem for swag etc

    An automatic system that rewards milestones and achievements in Trainerize with badges or points, to keep clients motivated in their training. For example, no workouts missed in February might earn a consistency badge or a certain number of points.

    Points can be accumulated through the lifetime of a member to swap for swag or shakes

  10. Drop down list of exercises

    The ability to create a drop down list of exercises in a program i.e. say a program consisted of:

    A1 - Lower body single leg push - 4 x 6-8
    A2 - Upper body pull - 4 x 6-8

    B1 - - Lower body single leg pull - 4 x 6-8
    B2 - upper body push - 4 x 6-8
    B3 - core - 4 x 10-12

    D1 - biceps - 2x10-12
    D2 - triceps 2x10-12

  11. Let clients self-move their master program start date if they are sick

    I usually program my clients for two weeks at a time. Every now and then, they miss a workout and now their whole program is messed up. I have to manually delete every workout and then re-add all the workouts. Usually, the client ends up doing the same routine, just pushed back a day.

    If you could, make their a way to select the workouts in the calendar and then add an option that says move forwards one day, back one day, back two days, back three days, back one week.

  13. Update the workout template section so that we can have more than 10 workouts in chronological order!

    Right now, you can only have 10 workout templates before the system reads 11 as just below 1 and does not list the workout templates in order. For example, if you have 11 workout templates Trainerize will list your templates like this:
    Day 1
    Day 11
    Day 2
    Day 3
    Day 4 etc...

    Even if you write them out it lists in alphabetical order
    Day Four
    Day One
    Day Two etc....

    Seems like an easy fix and it would make things alot easier when making large, multi day workout programs in the template.

  14. Provide the ability to import historic body stats data using simple CSV files.

    When you are moving to a new platform such as trainerize and you want to make use of all your existing data. Bulk importing body stats and training results by CSV is the easiest way. If you can provide import capability then it makes it much easier to switch.

    This would be great for people using excel files from before or for people using InBody .

  15. allow client to add notes for each excercise

    Now, it's possible for clients to make notes for the whole workout, but not for each excercise. Would be great to do that (Example: "Reduced weight bench press due to DOMS" --> barbell bench press. "New record, yes!" --> Barbell Squat)

    Otherwise, great job! Love your Service and my clients do too.

  16. Add a workout on the fly?

    I end up not having time to plan a session for a client, but I have lots of workouts in the library. Would be great to just add in a workout from my library of workouts and record it on the fly, without having to add the workout to the client's training plan as whole. Possible?

  17. Allow trainers to use the app to send new workouts to clients which are named, Ie, "Fran". Just space to add workout via app to calendar.

    In the section on the app which allows you to add a workout, give a place to simply add the name of a workout such as a CrossFit wod. There should be a space to add score or time by client after.

  18. Print the workout with a bigger font size

    Some of my clients are unable to read or see their training as the print font size are too small.

  19. Add 'Instructions' field before each superset within a workout

    At the moment there is a field to add instructions for the entire workout, but each "superset" within each workout may have a set of instructions that's unique to the others. I understand that you can outline this at the top of the workout; however, it can be quite annoying or difficult to have to constantly reference the instructions at the top of the page. Furthermore, understanding which instructions correspond to which superset can be confusing to some. An 'instructions' field before each superset would remedy this and make for a much better UX.

  20. Switch exercises in a program without losing sets/reps data

    It would be so much easier if you could easily switch an exercise out of a program without having to re-enter the reps/sets info.

    Either when altering a program that you have duplicated (to create a similar, but new program) or when changing exercises in a clients program.
