Improve searching for food items
Make inputting meals easier. Takes too long and pulls random items when i input an item. Super time consuming.
Show fresh foods at the top. I need to scroll through a lot of commercially prepared foods before the raw foods.

Or just put the raw and or simple version at the top. Not a shopping list of food companies

When I search for food, it should prioritize foods I’ve recently selected at the top of the search results instead of making me sort through the entire database every single time.

When searching, food should come up based on previously picked items. Scrolling to look for it in the drop down list is time consuming if I have not had it recently. This could be solved by having a drop down menu for each category so it’s easy to repeat the item or choose food in that category to eat when making food. Eg. Breakfast - jumbo eggs, egg whites, avocado, blueberries. This would help when logging food for the meal. I often will log something before I make it if I’m not at home so I have something to follow when I make a meal, which requires me to have to search for the food in the pantry, scan it or log it or double check on the app to get them to match. Trying to hit macros, eat balanced and counting is hard enough, looking for chia seeds in hundreds of items you’ve consumed when you don’t remember the brand or have the bag, is an occurrence that happens almost every day. Seeing the items categorized by item under the meal type would help users to delete data and simplify there “Pantry” of recent foods. All Eggs together, All chicken types etc… etc

An improvement to the foods in the search fields would be fantastic, even including foods from outside of the US thru known popular grocery store would be a great addition to ABC.
This app is by far more functional then the others on the market.

New to using the app, but it would be really nice to have the option to meal plan vs being assigned. I normally prep and eat the same meal for my breakfast and lunches, and don't make them individually. It's time consuming going through and setting things throughout the week.

When I search, my previously entered foods should show up first.

I also agree with the comment of defaulting the number of servings to the last entered

I agree with the sort order of fresh first, then store bought and last restaurants

Home cooked version of foods (for instance omelette) should be on the top before the commercially bought options

I often prepare vegetables & meat dinners at home but struggle to find anything similar in the list when I search it in the list.
Adding the scan facility to the app would be brilliant & so quick to add foods that are out of a packet.

I actually reduce my visits with the Lifetime Nutritionist because tracking with this app is too hard and stressful.

If I select a recently used food it should default to the number of servings I previously used. Also if I search in the database it should first show options I’ve previously used. (They show up before searching but not after). And some searches make no sense. I searched margarita and got only margarine options

There aren’t enough options or you can’t find some foods to scan or add. For example something as simple as a whole peach is not an option to track.

Fix the search in foods to have the simplest version appear top in the list. For example, tomato - should have plain old raw tomato at the top! And rice? It lists weird foods at the top that should be way down the list. Tomato should match with tomato.
