Food label info extracted from image
A feature that allows you to take a picture of a food label when adding an item to your meal. That image can be processed using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract relevant information such as macro amounts, serving size, total calories. There are several cloud services or APIs that can be leveraged to accomplish this.

Ability to edit times
It'd be good to be able to add a meal after the fact and edit the time of the meal

Cumbersome, entering is multi step. Can't delete once its entered. No fractional options, i cannot add 1/2 an avocado or 1/2 a scoop of powd
Simplified adding foods. Add fractions so I can have 1/2 an avocado. Or 8 Oz of ground beef. Let me delete or correct entries.

Nutra check calorie counter
Please allow us to link nutra check calorie counter as I dont use my fitness pal. The in app meal tracker is showing different calories so it is actually confusing. Please add to link option. Many thanks.

Don't block controls with temp notices
You put up a temp notification about known issues with loading timeline and calendar. That message is completely blocking the Add button to add meals or food. Temp messages should be dismissible or at least the regular content should still be accessible beneath the message.

Synchronize app to time zone
I noticed the calorie counter is off as it's not synchronized to my time zone. So it adds yesterday's meals to today's breakfast and totals the calories...

Family Style / Meal Prep Style - Save the total meal ingredients once and then log how large your portion was. Share total meal with family.
While cooking, log the weights and amounts of the ingredients used. Record the total of this as one "product" or one "food item".
Then, when you grab your portion size for the week, you only have to say how much you grabbed from the total meal and don't have to calculate and add each ingredient again every single day.
Share the "product" or "food item" between family members or friends who are also eating from the same batch of food. That way, only one person has to enter the meal details and everyone else can just say how much they…22 votes -

In order to track nutrients and macros, it would be great if I could somehow link to or import the recipe I'm using from a website, like delish.com, southern living, alton brown...

vitamin tracker
a system much like the food tracker but a seperate meal option that is designed for multivitamins/supplements. some of these do contain a few calories so it would be helpful to fully track calories per day

Can no longer change entry types
With this new update, I can no longer change the type of meal. For example I wanted to change a snack to a breakfast and now I no longer have the option to do so.

Meal preps
I batch cook alot. When I list the ingredients and add the meal to favourites I can't divide the portion sizes any smaller than the full ingredients list. For example I'll make a homemade soup it makes 6-8 portions. Once I've listed everything that goes into it im showing 2000cal when really I'm only eating 1/6 of that. Please add a feature to divide favourites meals into smaller portions ie 1/6th of said meal.

Improve searching for food items
Make inputting meals easier. Takes too long and pulls random items when i input an item. Super time consuming.
Show fresh foods at the top. I need to scroll through a lot of commercially prepared foods before the raw foods.

Add a portion of a favorited or previous meal
The ability to add a portion of one of your favorite meals or another meal you’ve previously entered. So you can currently copy that meal to another day, but it would be great if you could then say that you’ve had (for example) half the portion size of that meal, instead of needing to half all the ingredients.

Since update can’t amend food meal
Since the latest app updated (ios) there is no longer the option to change meal type. So if I have logged later in the day it defaults to say Dinner but I want to log it as breakfast. You have to delete and add meal again. On old version I could amend to Breakfast.

When copying meals, I want to modify time eaten on day copied to.
When I copy a meal from one day to another, I'd like to be able to modify the time I ate it as it's not always at same time that I eat it.

A section that shows calories consumed vs target calories. Macros consumed vs macros targeted as well.

Be able to add less than a serving
I need to be able to add in less than a serving on food, for example 1/2 cup if the serving size is 1 cup. Having to pick 8 tbsp instead is cumbersome.
The units are stuck as whole numbers. This doesn't work well at all for me. It's difficult to track things.4 votes -
Recipe
I would love the opportunity for trainerize to allow us to customize recipes by putting all the Ingredients together from the recipe and being able to see the full breakdown calories and macros. THEN be able to select that recipe as a meal but select it as a portion for my calories for that day. For example make chili soup recipe and then scan all the ingredients that go in it. Now under my recipe tab is skinny chili soup. Then when i go to eat it i can click the full chili soup and say select the serving like…
