Help shape what we build next for the AI Workout Builder 🤖💪
We’re actively working on improving the AI Workout Builder—and we want your input.
What should we build next?
This is the place to suggest, discuss, and vote on new AI features you’d love to see. Your feedback directly helps us prioritize what comes next.
Some examples of ideas we’re exploring (just to spark inspiration):
- Multiple workouts in a single chat (generate variations or a series without starting over)
- Creating full programs with AI, not just individual workouts
- Conversation history, so you can revisit, tweak, or continue past AI sessions
Have a different idea? Even better.
Post it below and explain how you’d use it in your coaching workflow!
Thanks for helping us build an AI tool that actually fits the way you coach 🙌

Adding in micronutrients to the nutrition tracker, would be really useful for high level nutrition coaching

The AI seems to pick the same exercises consistently. I created 3 workouts and it chose the same plyometic exercise every time. It also does not make the changes you ask for consistently and instead changes other exercises you have not asked to be changed

Multiple workouts in a single chat, Creating full programs including progressions and variations over phases within a program with AI & Conversation history. All of the things you are exploring are needed. It would be nice to build and progress on existing client programs.
I agree with some others on movement assessments being available.
Furthermore, it seems to try and input the same exercises it originally did even when you don't ask for it to change them again. My specific situation was i wanted to shorten the workout length and asked it to remove 1 exercise and ensure the workout was within the time range; it then removed that exercise but in addition changed the workout back to the original exercises.

Right now, most AI-generated programs rely heavily on basic inputs such as goals, training frequency, and available equipment. While useful, this approach misses a critical layer: movement quality and biomechanics.
I’d like to propose integrating an AI-driven movement assessment system that works both in-person and remotely.
Core Assessments to Include:
Overhead Squat Assessment
Standard Squat Assessment
Single-Leg Balance Test
Single-Leg Hinge (Hip Stability)
Basic Mobility Screens (ankle, hip, thoracic spine)How It Could Work:
Clients upload short videos directly into Trainerize (or perform assessments live with a coach)
AI analyzes joint angles, stability, asymmetries, and movement limitations
System generates a movement profile highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and risksOutput:
Automatically customized workout programs based on:
Movement limitations
Stability and mobility deficits
Strength imbalances
Smart exercise selection (e.g., regressions/progressions based on capability)
Injury-risk reduction through corrective exercise integrationLong-Term Opportunity:
With input from experienced coaches, the AI could continuously improve by learning from:Program adjustments made by coaches
Client progress and feedback
Different coaching methodologies and stylesThis would position Trainerize not just as a workout delivery platform, but as a true intelligent coaching system that blends AI with real-world coaching expertise.
I’d be happy to contribute insights from a coaching and biomechanics perspective if this aligns with your roadmap.
Thank you for your time and for continuing to improve the platform.

There needs to be a feature where you are able to pull in a clients current phase and have the AI workout builder be able to make the next phase of training based on the clients progression and adherence.

I would love to be able to upload a whole program and have it create the whole thing, instead of just one workout at a time. I have several on Google docs from years ago and it's time prohibitive to do them one workout at a time, but my clients would love to have access to them.

The AI builder needs to be able to open an AI Assests folder on your computer that has prompts within on how to build the program based off your model and programming style
It needs to be able to reference the clients progress tab in order to see what exercises they have recently used to allow it provide variance in exercise, plus have a dedicated section that allows it to reference, be prompted from, and write their new split based off of that program screening notes
In order to save time, it also needs to be able to selected exercises from your own personal exercise library and the trainerize library to then make and upload programs into a training phase
This will be very exciting when it's capabilities improve to actually time saving. I would argue that until then, writing exercises in a chat is likely pointless as we all are quite streamlined at writing our own programming style

Look at everfits model please.
Using AI would be great if I can tick requirements then it builds the program. Currently using as a chat it’s not helpful or suited to existing clients programs/progress -

Need to be able to create multiple workouts in single chat and it wants to repeat exercises too much. It will pull same exercises for the next workout...

I tried it out of curiosity, and so far every workout it came up with was absolute garbage. I'd rather we actually got the features we've been asking for years, than getting AI-slop shoehorned in.

Please make the AI workout builder understand the principles of programming for certain types of exercises so it's not just spewing randomized workouts to people.

Would love to be able to create micro and macro cycles of a program to help speed up programming progressions of volume (reps x sets) and exercises. Currently, pretty tedious to try to program progressions throughout a phase or creating follow on phases.

Looks like you're already working on it, but from testing the AI things I'd like to see:
-Multiple workouts in single chat
-Conversation history (to revisit or adjust)
-Edit workouts after created (since sometimes I forget to include something in a prompt like RPE)
-A way to modify client summary (such as beginner, intermediate, etc... levels estimated by the AI)? -
