Access and operation hours are incredibly inconvenient, especially Friday, Saturday, and Sundays.
900pm close time on Friday evenings is quite ridiculous as more than less people have the chance to workout later due to Saturday work hours for members. Closing at 11pm Monday through Thursday is tolerable during winter hours when days are shorter but come early summer while it is lighter later it doesn’t get dark until 830pm I plan to cancel my membership as I work until dark every day. Currently I drive 25 minutes to the nearest Edge and the hours of operation does not leave me time to put a workout in, utilize the tanning and sauna amenities. I know I am not the only member feeling this way as the gym has to make multiple announcements leading up the very last minute to closing time and kick people out to lock the doors.
Since joining, I have not once been able to attend a group class due to timing and availability. Upon becoming a member I was promised an evaluation along with other personal sign on perks but was never contacted or followed up with in any type of way.
Cleaning crew is scheduled to come during hours which is understandable although when they are doing their duties like cleaning the showers and locker room while they are still being actively utilized it is frankly quite tacky.
I am disappointed and felt treated as I would with any other big box gym that I would pay half the price for. I expected more as Edge clubs are a relatively newer chain in my area.
