We are continually updating your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. A specific message when my trainer adds or changes my plan

    I’m never sure when my trainer updates my plan unless he sends a note through the app and sometimes he asks a question and I’m not aware new exercises have been added. Perhaps a flag on the exercise icon?

  2. A feature that allows clients to flag exercises that cause injuries

    I keep getting prescribed the same exercises that cause pain and injury ( I think they forget). It would be nice to just flag them, instead of constantly reminding trainer.

  3. Be able to save your own wood

    Would be nice to be able to save your created wood, so you could reuse it more times.

  4. It should be optional to save specific or favorite moves to add to workouts.

    It would be nice to save workouts or favorite moves so you don’t have to search every time.

  6. Time under tension

    Can you create fields which allow for marking an exercise as "Time Under Tension" where we can track the eccentric phase hold in interval seconds? Other exercise fields for categorical purposes should include "Strength" and "Hypertrophy".

  7. Ability to have sets, reps and rest time for any exercise put into a workout.

    There have been times my coach puts in an exercise but because I think it's not pn the list of exercises she can't add reps and weight.

  8. Keep workouts in client account when trainer changes

    I have had three different trainers in the last year because the first two moved to different gyms. This means all the workouts they made for me disappeared as soon as I got a new trainer. The app should allow the workouts to stay with the client not the trainer. Stated a different way, I paid for my one on one training and for the workouts they created. When I got a new trainer the money I had spent on the training sessions and workouts was wasted because I could no longer access them.

  12. Medicine ball weight

    Currently we cannot list a weight for medicine balls. Since these come in many weights it’s worth having there ability to record weight and reps

  13. Gauge level of soreness the day after a workout.

    It would be nice to know how sore I was the following day after a specific workout, so I can determine whether or not to increase weight/resistance the next time around.

  14. During rest period say what the next exercise is instead of when the timer starts.

    If the workout is new and not sure what is next. Even though I look at the list before starting I don’t remember what’s next.This would eliminate having to keep looking at the phone to see what is next

  16. Warm up and working set calculator.

    A calculator to determine weight needed for warm up and working sets based on latest data the user has entered and a way to determine that easier in the app based off hypertrophy or strength.

  17. View all your recorded exercises / lifts & their PRs

    I would like a place where I can see all lifts and their relevant PRs without having to be in a workout.
    This would allow to easily review & plan workouts & be better there. This is also relevant where there are several interchangeable variants in Trainerize where one has a history & one doesn’t.

  18. Turn off Interval Workout Voice 'Encouragement'

    Please return the option for turning off 'new interval workouts' where the timer gives you encouragements. They are very annoying to my clients. I was inundated with so many requests to switch them off in the past week, and complaints that they ruin the workout!
    Simply turning down the volume doesn't work, because the basic announcements need to be there for the client to know when to move on to the next exercise. Otherwise they have to watch their phone. Several of my clients are now bypassing the Trainerize app altogether and are just using a generic phone timer which…

  19. See comments made from previous weeks workout DURING a workout

    Otherwise we have to get out of the workout, go into calendar, scroll up access workout... etc. Would be cool to have a button to view past workout comments mid workout.

  20. Adding a different exercise instead of substituting and it not go to the bottom

    If you do one set of an exercise but decide you want to do or sub or with something else. Adding a different exercise at the place you’re at in your work out. Not at the bottom.
