This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  2. Save Workouts

    Create a way for users to save their own workouts and stats to a library so we don’t have to re-add each individual exercise every single time. Allow us to create habits, favorite machines, and save workouts. This being for regular members not just trainers.

  3. Bring back the activity tracker that shows what level you’re at. It was super motivating!

    The previous app tracked your workouts and gave you an activity level, like silver, gold, platinum etc.
    This feature was super motivating to push harder to maintain a level or level up.

  4. A chart showing when and how often I went to the gym

    The old app had a nice bar chart and calendar showing when / how often I went to the gym. Now it just shows a list of dates I went to the gym.

  5. Pool

    Would be great to have real time traffic data available on the app for the pool as I’ve tried to swim lap several times now and each time it’s full. This is enough of an issue that I’m considering changing away from Defined

  7. Add a pool and warm water in showers for every location!

    I think this location should have a pool and also i think every location should have access to warm water in the showers and not just ice cold water! I believe it will bring in more sales!

  9. Atlanta | Women’s Bathroom Amenity Suggestions

    I suggest adding paper towels and facial tissues to the women’s bathroom. They’re essential for maintaining good hygiene (e.g. managing sweat after workouts, quick touch-ups, allergies, or unexpected moments). They would also provide another option for drying hands and help reduce backups and long waits at the electric dryers during peak times. Competing gyms in the Atlanta area already offer similar amenities, and this would be a small but meaningful way to stay competitive while enhancing cleanliness, comfort, and the overall member experience.

    Other thoughtful additions could include hair ties, cotton pads, mouthwash, or deodorant spray.

  10. CLEANING STAFF ONSITE DURING GYM HOURS

    Hire onsite cleaning staff employees to clean the gym area and locker rooms several times a day. Commercial gyms have high traffic with hundreds of people coming and going everyday. There should be constant cleaning throughout the day, not a cleaning service coming once or twice a day. (Northridge, CA location)

  14. Class Milestones & Class History

    Introducing class milestones would be a great motivator and an easy way for users to track their progress at a glance, for example, milestones at 50, 100, 200, and 500 completed classes.

    Additionally, it’s currently difficult to see which classes have already been taken. A dedicated history feature that lists completed classes along with the date and time would make tracking past participation much easier.

  16. Disable all phone functions except emergency services.

    I literally saw well over 10 people today texting non stop on their phones while keeping weights and machines from actually being used. We're talking 10 minutes between sets, no exaggeration.

    Make the app disable all games and functions besides emergency services once you check in. Or get a concierge service to get those time wasters off the floor. It's a gym, not a lounge.
