An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Yontz commentedI am not sure what to title this change request, so am adding it here. For these to really be "templates" the exercise move choice should be independent of the exercise guidance directions.
For example, I currently use Excel as my program design template model. In it, I have the work pre-designed for the # super sets, # moves combined, # set ranges, # reps, TUT, and rest.... I only need to select the appropriate exercise movement to complete the program. I would REALLY like to be able to do this in TRZ as well (would save me HOURS of programming)
As a further example, a typical new client may follow a linear model progression in their first series, so we know that they will follow the following model after core work and power work:PHASE 1 Day A (1-2 sets each)
3a) [ Bilateral Squat Pattern ] @ 15R, 2-1-2, rest 0s
3b) [ mobility move ref: FMS ]
3c) [ Bilateral horiz Pull Pattern ] @ 15R, 2-1-2, rest 60s4a) [ Bilateral Hinge Pattern ] @ 15R, 2-1-2, rest 0s
4b) [ mobility move ref: FMS ]
4c) [ Bilateral horiz Push Pattern ] @ 15R, 2-1-2, rest 60sand this may go to Phase 2 Day A (2-3 sets each)
3a) [ Bilateral Squat Pattern ] @ 12R, 2-1-1, rest 0s
3b) [ mobility move ref: FMS ]
3c) [ Unilateral horiz Pull Pattern ] @ 12R each, 2-1-1, rest 60s4a) [ Unilateral Hinge Pattern ] @ 12R each, 2-1-2, rest 0s
4b) [ mobility move ref: FMS ]
4c) [ Bilateral Vert Pull Pattern ] @ 12R, 2-1-2, rest 60sAns so on... all I would need to do is select the appropriate move for that client vice re create the entire model every time - which is what the current system demands. Its very frustrating and very time-consuming.
Thank you,
Rob

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Yontz commentedI could not agree more strongly... I would like to be able to schedule on a clients calendar (or them schedule) things such as a coaching call (phone) or video call (ie Skype / Google Hangout). Also I have several clients doing athletic events; i.e. Obstacle Race, Triathlon, 1/2 M, etc. I want to be able to track their race performance so I also have to create a "workout" for these things.. they are not workouts, they are "events"
Thnx!

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Yontz commentedYes PLEASE!!!
I think this would be fairly simple to implement. Create a one page table where we select the exercises we want to use as the base, allow the option for the trainer to restrict updating to just the trainer or permit the client to update as well for a 1RM.
The table could be easily be amde to be view able rather than just a pick function also.

Thanks for your great suggestion! We've added this to our work queue. We'll post further updates here as our teams pick it up to work on it. Please come back to ideas.trainerize.com to add your vote to other ideas.

An error occurred while saving the comment Rob Yontz commentedYES! OMG this would be great. You have slayed one giant with the Skype connection (thank you!!!). That eliminated one big jump around (still need the calendarized scheduling for Skype). I still currently have clients jumping out and using other apps and app database for:
1. HR training (MapMyRun and POLAR Beat) I could go with either right now
2. HRV (BioForce)
3. Movement Review, Assessments / Screens (Coach's Eye)
4. Activity Tracker (Fitbit -also some use this for nutrition coaching)
5. Nutrition coaching (MyFitnessPal - those who do not do fitbit)
6. Dropbox for documentsRob Yontz

Right now the cardio tracking feature will only track the time of effort.. Please add in the capability to track distance (and therefore pace) so we can have clients stop using the other apps for this and then transferring the info. Would be even better to capture altitude also.
