Keep it fairly simple. Quality of food is most important. A place for the client to put in notes related to sleep, energy, and cravings level. Is this choice mde out of habit? Was there other foods available? What triggers the client to make this choice? Just some different things to consider for behavioral changes / creating new habits..

I would like to be able to insert meals by time client should have
save favorite combinations and possibly auto increase calorie and portion size for increase in nutrients for instance: chicken serving, mixed veggie selections, fruit selection....Need chicken to be 4 oz so auto decrease everything else to keep under 250 calories
Save by template
give client feedback on an accuracy rate like you are at 87% this week etc.

I really would like to see the Nutriton summary pages from my clients' MyFitnessPal. Integrating with them that way would be awesome.
They have a friend feature where we can become friends and see that anyways. It would be helpful to have all of that in one place on this site.
It would also be great if I could manually set their macro goals from my side.

Fatsecrets are really cool... Love the app! But it would be awesome to have it incorporated with the training plan.
I also agree with someone below...water intake! Sounds stupid, but I think its a big part of getting healthy!
Also, I found the countdown timer on the app not to be helpfull... I did Jim Stopani's program once, and the app of Bodybuilding.com, with the timers etc was very cool!!!! -

Brilliant. It needs to have somewhere where the trainer can outline a plan, and allow the client to tick off what they did or did not accomplish, allow them to add what changes they made to the diet plan etc. So you can see the original plan -vs- what they did to help them work through how they are doing. Visually allowing them to see the difference
Needs calorie counters with a decent database along with macro counters for the IIFYM people.

I also want to add that I think this is a priority as well. Like others are saying, even just integrating with myfitnesspal or someone else would be great.

If myfitnesspal isn't being responsive, I would suggest looking into fatsecret. We use them for client meal planning - their food database is extremely accurate, and we've been very happy with them.
They also have an api that you may be able to integrate with. Here is the link:

Just signed up for the free trial to find to my disappointment NO NUTRTION aspect to the program. We need an easy way for our clients to track what they eat so we can give suggestions and identify weak factors. I was looking forward to changing platforms but I cannot until this is implemented.
Tom McQuaid: You only break the law when you "prescribe" a nutritional regime to someone (usually in order to treat a medical condition). Not when you give them meal plans to look at or even use.

Rick, ProDiets.com is cool but charges $3 per client.... As personal trainers we are heavily involved in our clients meal planning and dietary habits. I currently use Hyperstrike (although they have been down the last few days (pulling my hair out)) and they do offer a meal plan generator. I am only considering switching to Trainerize because Hyperstrike randomly stops working and the customer service is awful!
If you add this feature it will make my switch 10x easier.

Would switch over for this.

We need a meal planning portion of the platform... Hyperstrike did a great job with theirs. Would like this feature before I switch to your platform.

Hi guys,
You can now put click-able links in the training plan instructions. So you can insert dropbox links to pdf's or links to nutrition plans elsewhere for clients.
This should help you deliver nutrition plans in a simple way.
Cheers,

Is there a way to at least add the option so that clients can upload pictures when sending messages?

No Need to reinvent the wheel with this, myfitnesspal.com has a great operation going, just figure out how to integrate it. they have an open source code. http://www.programmableweb.com/api/myfitnesspal

I think this would help in acheiving goals set by members especially after putting in all the hard work in the gym. It would be counter productive to be working out hard and putting the wrong stuff in your body which is not nutritional or does not in any way contributes to the hard working body.

There needs to be some sort of medium on here rather than just emailing for giving advice on nutrition. i'm not suggesting meal plans but basic nutritional advice is so imortant to achieve results. you can't exercise off a bad diet. trust me. i tried for years before getting my act together. 90% of my clients are people who want to loose weight and if you don't address the nutritional side of things you'll never get anywhere.
