Ability for a trainer to present an easier/harder/alternate exercise as options
Sometimes as the trainer, I would like to specify what the alternate exercises are.
For example, the default is push up. But present them to them
Push from knees (easy), push up (default), push up (legs on a box (advanced)
Perhaps having a slider so they can select which version they're doing.
So clients can progress an exercise to a more challenging version, or regress to an easier version by themselves.
Without having to browse all the exercise for the right substitution.

This idea has been labeled as planned for 5 years. Any chance of getting this implemented soon? This could be a huge feature!

+1 for this feature please! 2014 seems a long time to have been planned. Hope this happens soon.

Yes please as it is a staple in most result based programs

Any headway on this feature? I feel like this is a must-have

Llke this one! I just posted something similar just now about editing programmes from the progressions sheet! Lets get this thing moving!!

I work a lot on peoples posture moving progressively through movement patterns so being able to set up progression and regression exercise would help to put in larger scale plans

Trainerize - Please make this happen! As mentioned in a previous comment, having to go into a workout or a program to make this change is tedious and not on the side of the coach who wants to scale his/her business.
Please make this happen. This idea was marked as 'Planned' in 2014. It's 2018.

You could also use this concept to offer home exercise options on a program that is written for a gym workout. So if barbell squat is the main exercise, you could show a dumbbell squat as the alternate. Would be good to allow the user to pin which exercise they want displays on future weeks the same workout is programmed.

Genuinely surprised to see how long this suggestion how been here. This is almost a necessity in today's world.
I have all clients on ProCoach and some of them doing ProCoach workouts (from Precision Nutrition) and this is one of the most raved about features; the progression and regression feature. -

This would be fantastic. I agree with Dave, I coach calisthenics/gymnastics/bodyweight exercises and this would make life 1000x easier.

For instance, if the fly machine is taken, give the client the ability to toggle an alternate which would display DB flys (or whatever I choose to offer)

Is there any movement on this? I love this software, but a protocol (reps, sets, exercise order etc.) becomes obsolete if I need to change an exercise. Say the difference between a front squat and back squat = take out front squat, put in back squat, re enter reps & sets. And then re-pair supersets or tri-sets if I have them in the protocol.

Still would be an excellent feature to this software. :)

As a calisthenics coach, this is absolutely vital. Progress isn't made by simply adding more weight.

How far away would this system be?
We currently have to go in and change them every time and it is very time consuming. -
