Substitute Exercises
It would be amazing to have a small drop down menu below every exercise where I can put what exercises a client should sub with if needed, little space for 1-3 options. Easy scroll and choose and it automatically switches into the workout. Clients searching on their own substitute exercises is a pain.

Give clients the ability to filter exercises for specific muscles, equipment, etc when substituting or creating WODs. Right now the search features only allows them to search by the name of the exercises.

this is a great idea because most of the time clients skip the exercise because they don't know what to sub it with

Being new to gym equipment and exercises, it would be especially helpful if there were options to select previously used or favorites options because there are so many offerings to select from

It would help my clinets feel supported and hold retention because I am not always available when they workout and they feel lost not knowing what subtitutions they should do if eqipment at their gym is being used, or is broken.

This is incredibly important for us coaches who are training virtually. I focus on clients who are travelers and having alternative options for them is much needed! It's not just for virtual trainers, but even if a client is injured they may need to modify.

I would love to see the coach to be able to apply an auto filter to apply to the business to display exercises by a defult filter.
Eg Automatically show by similar Muscle or Movement pattern.
So if somone selects substitute on a Bench Press it would automatically show all other Chest (Muscle Group filter) or Horizontal Press (Movement Pattern Filter) exercises. - as said before, allow us as the coaches to set by default how the substitution filter auto applies.
+ Allow clients to easily filter the list by equipment or change the default filter selected by the coach for the business account.

The app already does this, sometimes it takes a while to load.

I just found this after posting something similar. I totally agree with you said.
Just to add to yours: here is what I put: Progression and Regression Exercise Suggestions
One great feature in the app right now is the ability to substitute exercises — it’s really useful when someone needs to make a quick change.
To make it even better, it would be great if we could suggest specific regressions and progressions for each exercise.
For example:
• If someone can’t do a full press-up, they could be guided to regress to a wall press-up or box press-up.
• If they find it too easy, they could progress to weighted press-ups or more advanced variations.
How it would help:
• Instead of clients randomly picking a different exercise (which might not fit the program properly), they would get clear, coach-approved options.
• Helps clients stay on track with the right intensity level for their ability.
• Improves coaching quality and trust, while making the app feel even more supportive and personalised.
Business benefits:
• Adds real value for both coaches and users.
• Creates a smarter, more professional training experience.
• Makes the app stand out by offering guidance where others just offer basic substitutions.
This feature would make a massive difference, especially for beginners or anyone working through strength and skill development. Also to be part of the standard package you sell, no add on fees. -

I would love to see an option where substituting a movement in the training program or within an actual workout when training a client on my app live with a client can automatically fill in that movement in ALL of the upcoming scheduled workouts under the same name.
Example: Workout 1, scheduled to be repeated on Mondays for 8 weeks.
Superset 1:
1a) Goblet Squat
1b) Pull-upSuperset 2:
2a) Dumbbell Bench Press
2b) Barbell Romanian DeadliftI learn in the first session that a dumbbell row would be a much better option for this client than the pull-up, so I would like to be able to sub that movement in live while training them and have an option that pops up, saying "substitute for all upcoming workouts." and I select that, and now for the next seven weeks there is a dumbbell row instead of a pull-up and all the same sets, reps and rests are still followed. Or to have the option to do this from the training program/master program page on the computer as well.
Currently when a client needs a movement substitution, I have to write down or screenshot my entire progression of the workout that movement appears in, delete them from the calendar, edit the entire workout in the program, re-schedule it to all the Mondays, and then go back to the progression spreadsheet and change all the sets and reps AGAIN. It's a massive hassle, and as my business grows and clients continue to need different customizations, it's a dreaded task.
