Offline option for the app
Hi there, I operate out of a gym that has poor to zero reception. This sucks cos I cannot access the app to update when training client. At the moment i do it manually by writting it down the old school and later input in to the app, which is not exactly the most sophisticated solution, especially the double entry data which takes up my time off course :-(
I know the whole platform is build on online but if the app was able to work offline and then once online it would update (send the data to the server) that would be excellent!!
If this is not on your cards tgan at least ghe ability to input pictures from phone would be good as that is something i cannot do at the moment either, it's important that i can track this when with client but i can't at the moment as the app does not allow that offline either.
I am really keen to sign up for proper package for my business (50 clients) but if the app doesn't change anytime soon to allow offline i'll have to look fir elsewhere solutions unfortunatelly.
The training plan and calendar is cached on the phone so you can view them on the phone offline now.
You will however need a connection if you wish to check in/track a workout off the calendar.

Clients should be able to download a workout over an Internet connection and then view it and follow it even when not connected to the internet. This way in gyms or areas with no/slow internet connections it will not impact their workout!

How is this suggestion completed/closed? I am not able to vote on this suggestion because of this, but I agree that clients and trainers should be able to track workouts offline. This would allow for Trainerize to be a much more versatile tool. It is very annoying needing to manually keep track of workout data by another means when internet is not available only to have to go online later and post the workout a second time.

I like for my client's to be able to use all features like workout videos/instruction to be utilise the app offline and not need internet connection unless it’s messaging and check-in. While from a trainer I like to be able to design all programs offline without the use of data and wi-fi.
Unless it's uploading a program, sending message and updating data you would need internet connection. -

Any updates on this? Seems crazy to expect people to always have an Internet connection. I too will be going elsewhere if my clients can't track their workouts offline.

Tracking workouts offline with in-app storage should be an option to allow use of iPads/ tablets that don't have data or wifi.

Yep - Definitely - some of my clients are....well old. They don't like having data switched onto their "pay as you go" phones: yes they still exist!

I agree! Being able to input sets and weights etc would make the app really worth while. The idea of it also is to fully go paperless and it seems wasteful and unprofessional to write it down then input it later. I get that it can't track anything without internet but it would be REALLY helpful to just input the data points offline. I'm in the same boat where I'm on the trial month and need to be able to input workout stats in order to validate paying for the app in the future. I am really enjoying it though and hope I can keep using it.

I don't seem to have any luck with the training plan and calendar being cached on my phone so that they are accessible offline. Has this been implemented yet? If not this would be a super feature to add-on.

YES, this would help immensly for those of us doing online training and sending workouts to clients who vacation as well. I have a client who tried the app at a gym in Mexico in December only to find that as long as he started and ended his workout in the corner of the gym with WiFi he was ok. This same client is going on a cruise soon and will not be able to use the app at all in this case, only to be able to view the workout.
I agree there should be a way to input your stats even in offline mode then when data is restored the app will sync itself or prompt to be synced. My client is going to have to use JeFIT for his workouts for that two weeks.

Make it offline. Is very inconvenient when you dont get signal in the locker room for example and you cant record or access any data.
It would be gret as well to be able to have a payment record -

Hope this applies to Android app as well :)

Off line access would be very nice. I don't always have a internet connection in my client's home.
