Built-in food journal / food diary / meal tracker and macro tracking
Instead of having to use Lifesum, MyFitnessPal or Fitbit, be able to track food directly in the app.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your great suggestion! We’re marking this idea as completed! If you are running into MFP syncing issues, switch over the in-app meal tracker.

I have my Clients tracking in Cronometer. Then manually transferring the data to MyFitnessPal so it can sync to Trainerize. I would love for my Clients to be able to manually enter their macro data from whatever app they choose into Trainerize.

I would like more nutrition features. I’d like it so you can input their information and calculate calories and macros. Also, have a built in part, kind of like My Fitness Pal, were you can create a meal plan. I trialed other apps that had this, and it was an amazing feature.

Include a food database so syncing with other apps for food logging is not necessary.

I’d love for there to be an option for notes in the calendar where they can track food notes, energy levels, feelings, water intake, etc so I can see day by day what they are doing. I’d also like to be able to schedule reminders to update their food journal in the calendar.

To be able to view the food that clients are eating, not just the macros

It would be great to have an in-built meal planner/tracker (rather than having to sync and open up external apps) that allows for breakfast/lunch/dinner and macro/calorie tracking. Trainers should be able to create meal plans on here, that clients can follow and populate - with all able to see the results

Being synced with MFP is great, but it would be even better if we could use just one app to track everything!

Not all of my clients use MyFitnessPal and it would be EXTREMELY helpful if there was a way for them to manually enter daily food and beverage calories (and macro) so that the number will appear on their calendar the way it does when synced with MFP.
...Added bonus would be a manual entry function of daily expenditure as well

Have you ever thought about a version that would be only nutrition features or is there a way to set things up that really focus on nutrition? The app does a lot I really like, like integrating with MFP, FitBit, Withings, integrated comms, photo capture, body data, etc. which I now current collect from clients manually. I would really love to give them a better, integrated UI.

Great idea, specially the part for setting weekly macronutrient targets.

Have you checked out the Nutrition portion of the app My PT Hub? There's a feature I wish was integrated in Trainerize....and that's the ability to create meal plans from a large food database.

Is there a way that clients can put in their nutritional info and the trainer can see their log?

Clients can post their 3/5/7 day intial diet once the complete the consultation form. Keeps things running smoothly through the app rather than having to message seperately regarding this. Then sending the PDF through trainerize. Everything should feel like it can link through the app without the client having to send direct emails to myself or vice versa.

Just like my fitness pal. Have one through your platform and the app. I know someone already posted about this, but I believe having every little thing a trainer would have clients do, to build all of that content through this app, will give such exclusivity with us, meaning we're the only source for fitness. Make a meal tracker just like myfitness pal.
