Coach / Trainer - ABC Trainerize

We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified.

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

Thanks!

  2. Add Alcohol entries that count towards fats or carbs

Since alcohol does not fit into the classic macro structure, create entries that allow the calories of an alcoholic drink to account from carbs or fats. Right now, my clients have to make their own custom entries and do this math themselves. In MFP, there are hundreds of alcohol entries that have calories that count towards fat or carbs.

Alcohol is so common and when it doesn't reflect accurately in food logs it creates challenges for clients. This is only an issue with the in-app tracker.

  3. Allow Trainers to add and adjust clients meal logs.

Some clients find that using the in-app tracker is too tedious and difficult to log meals on the go. If they don't log it at the moment they probably won't log it ever. Clients can send trainers a picture and brief description of their meal and the trainer can log it for them.

  4. Summary of highest foods for each marco

For example- if a client has gone over in fats. It would be helpful to see be able to see a list of which food entry was the highest in fat. Highest to lowest would be great. This would make the processes for suggesting food swaps much quicker.

  5. Give the clients ability to log their symptoms at each meal or snack. Ex. Feeling energized, satisfied, bloated, tired, etc. to help the coa

Give the clients ability to log their symptoms at each meal or snack. Ex. Feeling energized, satisfied, bloated, tired, etc. to help the coach discern what foods are serving their body well, and what foods aren't.

  6. Coach's Ability to Edit In-App Tracking System

The ability for a coach to add a food into a client's meal tracker or even edit can be helpful in educating the client. Maybe have a way where the client and coach can see the difference between what the client tracked and what the coach has added/edited.

  7. Bring the add custom food function away from the advanced nutrition paywall and into the app as a basic function

The ability to add foods into a incomplete database shouldn't be locked behind a $50 paywall.

  8. Barcode Scanner: Add more foods to the database

When our clients use the barcode scanner to meal log they are oftentimes noticing that the system doesn't recognize their food. This isn't user-friendly as it forces the client to search for the meal manually or create a custom food. Due to this issue, we're having clients cancel their subscription with us and use an alternative app that is more barcode scanner friendly. If this issue persists we may be forced to find a new software provider after being with Trainerize for 5 years.

  9. Calorie & Protein goal only for advanced nutrition meal planning

Ability to set Calorie & Protein goal only for Advanced Nutrition.

Majority of my clients will not have calorie and protein goals so would be great if I can generate meal plans with just those 2 goals instead of full macros. Some clients find that overwhelming and can be limiting for gen pop.

  10. show grams of protein, carbs, fats per meal

Being able to see the grams protein, carbs, fat per meal can help us trainers be able to provide higher options per meal based on their schedule. Example: Teacher has to have more snacky style foods throughout her work day, being able to view the amounts per snack I will be able to give her alternative brands/ideas based on how much protein is in said snack.

  11. Allow clients and coaches to click on a macronutrient and have each entry listed

In order to teach clients to eat intuitively, they should be able to click on their macronutrient graph each day and see all of the food items associated with that macronutrient in order from highest to lowest. Therefore they can learn to make swaps and substitutions on their own based on that data.

  12. It is very hard to follow and coach with only protein, carbs and fat. Would it be possible to add the fibre to it?

Could we add the fibre to the data base on the diagram in addition to (protein, carbs and fats)

  13. Find a meal through the search function

It would be great to be able to find the meals through the search function when logging your food. Right now the only way to add a meal that I created is to go to the discover button and add it. It's not very intuitive.

Also, you can only add 1 meal from there. If I have 1 item as an entrée and another as a side, you can't add both to 1 meal. It doesn't make sense.

  14. Set Macro Targets Without Calories

Many clients get overwhelmed or fixated on calorie numbers when trying to follow a macro-based nutrition plan. For coaches using a portion-based or macro-first approach, it would be highly beneficial to have the option to set macro targets without displaying calorie totals.

This feature would allow clients to focus solely on hitting their daily protein, carb, and fat targets without getting distracted by calorie counts, which can often lead to confusion or anxiety.

By prioritizing the macros, clients can concentrate on building healthier habits and eating according to their specific needs, while still following the program effectively.

  15. Edit meals without having to start over on the day

Clients complain that if they need to go and edit a meal, they cannot do so without starting over on the day. This is detrimental for clients who pre-log their food and need to make adjustments throughout the day.

  16. Option to disable full meal tracking

Most of my clients just do fitness programs with me, but I do have nutrition clients and one of the "extras" they get is full meal tracking. I'd like to be able to turn off full meal tracking for my non-nutrition clients.

  17. See macros for each food item on desktop

Make it so trainer can see macros for each individual meal item on desk top and not just mobile. I am unable to click on a meal item on the desktop and see its direct macros.

  18. Fibre intake

I tell my clients the importance of fibre intake but sadly I can't easily track it via this app, can we not add this to the breakdowns to ensure quality carbs are eaten?

  19. Ability to see what the client sees FULLY on tracker

I hate when I can’t explain how to do something because the coach view of the meal tracking isn’t the exact same as the client facing! For as expensive as this add on is - it’s kind of crazy I can’t see it myself.

  20. As a coach I want to see the macro breakdown of each food item, not just the entire meal.

As a coach, I want to see the macro breakdown of each food item, not just the entire meal. Currently I can see the calories for each item but not the macros.
