Manually log macros without tracking food
Allow clients to manually log their calorie and macro intake. I have several clients who already use a macro tracker besides MyFitnessPal or FitBit that they really like and don't want to start over in the app.

Provide a scanner option so clients can scan a food item to get nutrition information
Similar to most nutrition tracking apps. Your in app good tracker should have a scanner option so that people can simply scan the bar code on a package to import all nutrition information.

Recipe Builder
Be able to build a recipe and input all the ingredients and then say “makes 12 servings” so you don’t have to add in macros for 1 individual serving.
When you go to track it you can just put 1.5 servings and it’ll automate the macros for said servings3 votes -
Not enough foods, not easy to access
My clients are saying that they cannot record simple things like a tsp of butter, or 25g of cheese and the diary doesnt have very many options to choose from. They are also saying it would be better to have a button that takes you direct to the add food/scan barcode option as they have to keep clicking through things to get to it. I would really like to get rid of using my fitness pal for my clients and have everything in the one app, but this doesn't seem possible until the in app tracker is just as efficient…

Copy Ingredients to Food Tracker not Entire Recipe from Discover Options
At the moment, when someone selects a Meal/Recipe option from the Discover Tab to add to their Food Journal, the entire meal/recipe is copied as a single item and people can't do any changes to the ingredients in that meal/recipe.
It would be more flexible to just have the option to copy the ingredients in the quantities mentioned in the recipe so that people can then change ingredients or quantities as needed.
I hope I have made a clear point 😄.

When clients are creating custom meals, when entering macros the calorie section should auto populate accordingly
When clients are creating custom meals when entering macros the calorie section should auto-populate accordingly, and if the calories need to be adjusted to something else to factor in sugar-free / alcohol calories it can be just changed after the auto function and not get reverted back to the calculated. Just like how it works in myfitnesspal quick add. Even adding the quick add function seperate is also great without having to save a custom meal.

Ability to look at a whole day/week of meals entered by a client
Currently, you can only specifically look at what a client eats as they enter it in and shows up in the activity log.
The ability to go back in Nutrition graph to see what they've eaten the past week would be optimal for us to provide the best feedback for our clients.

Export meal logs
It would be nice to be able to export client food logs! I keep detailed notes for each client, and need a streamlined way to add my client's weekly food logs to their file. I am a CNS in-training and this is required for my clinical practice!

Expand to be able to track sugar, vitamins and fiber
In the current progress tracking of nutrients you can view a client's averages with calories, individual macros, and overall macros.
If you want to view a clients specific nutrients (like fiber, sugar, vitamins, minerals, etc) you can only see a daily view.
Idea: integrate these other nutrients in the progress graph to get averages like calories and macros.

Remove dropdown for serving size in meal tracker and go back to entering a number manually
The new update sets the serving size as a dropdown with only 1-99 selectable. This breaks the app in numerous ways and is very slow to use. For an example where it breaks usage of the app, my clients regularly add straight calorie items using a 1g=1cal food type. Ex. 230 serving size to add a 230 calorie meal. It also doesn't easily allow fractions of serving sizes (1.5, 2.5).
Up until this point serving size could always be entered as a number, any number, manually. This dropdown prevents higher numbers, and is also slow and cumbersome to scroll through…

Add Feature that you can see what foods contribute highs amounts to Macro Counts

On client nutrition data on the website, please show with a better view the amount of macros that the client hit alongside the target macros
On client nutrition data on the website, please show with a better view the amount of macros that the client hit alongside the target macros. Right now all I can see is a pie chart of what my client ate and not how much their target is next to it. In order to see targets too I have to pull up their profile on my phone which is very counterproductive.

Just add macros into the meal tracker instead of needing to scan a barcode or create a food
Rather than have to add everything in as a custom food each time it would be nice to just be able to quickly type in the macros for more advanced clients who know what they're doing

Meal tracking on desktop/website
I have some clients who prefer the desktop version as opposed to the app and meal tracking is not currently available there.

Ability to edit food ingredient details (Calories, Macros) in meal-tracker.
Ability to edit details of food when adding them, incase they are inaccurate. Some foods I have scanned with a barcode and discovered that the calorie, and macro information in trainerize is inaccurate, even though the serving size is accurate.
It's understandable that there are millions of food types out there and things change and for trainerize staff to keep up would be crazy. I think if the client can at least edit any inaccuracy, then they can keep their tracking more in-line with their goals.
Without this ability, then neither the trainer nor the client can rely on the…

Ability for clients to see daily micronutrient tracking AND daily recommendations for optimal health?
It would be AMAZING to have a feature to view overall micronutrient tracking AND the daily recommneded amounts clients should be eating for optimal health (as shown when using the Cronometer app) Providing this additional info report regarding micronutrients and even individual amino acids eaten would be INCREDIBLY important so clients can track their health from a holistic approach. As well, the cronometer app shares what foods correleate with which nutrients eaten so clients can begin to learn what vitamins and minerals are found in the foods they eat on a regular basis.

Ability for clients to copy and share their meals with another client for families
Ability for clients to copy and share their meals with another client within the app. I have clients that meal prep in the same home and would love the feature of being able to copy a "friends" food log to save time inputing the exact same data/recipe.

Edit amounts in existing meals
Rather than creating a whole new meal for a client you just edit the item amount, ie. need to adjust oats down by 10g
