Trainerize should be able to read from Macrofactor app
I use MacroFactor app to track my food due to the simple and intuitive user interface. Way better for me and more conducive to me actually tracking my food. The only problem is I can’t get trainerize to read my data and then have to do a manual excel spreadsheet to send my coach. Would be great if I could import data to trainerize automatically!

Please add more flexibility to customize workouts
Due to certain limitations I often must substitute exercises and/or want to expand my workout beyond the coach’s specific lifts. While the “substitute” option is there you can only sub in something already in the database. There is currently no way to add in additional (extra) lifts/exercises once already started a workout. Additionally, it would be super helpful if the option to add in a customized name or description was available. Not every lift I need is in the database. I would love to be able to insert exercises from my own plan with my custom name and description.

The achievements
Achievements screen at the end of a workout does not scroll properly to show all Achievements made. For example if there are 7 new ones, the screen will only show 5 and it cannot be scrolled. This needs to be fixed (samsung galaxy s24)

Ability to exclude foods like alfalfa sprouts and bean sprouts and things like kale.
The ability to exclude foods like bean sprouts, alfalfa, kale, and other so-called healthy alternatives that I personally do not like the taste of.
Also the ability to filter meal suggestions by cost. With the $140 a month for this service and the cost of food on top of that, I'm questioning whether I can even afford this with my budget. Personally I'm on food stamps. I know a lot of overweight people are. I'm not rich, I don't have a high paying job, I struggle to make ends meet before I found this app62 votes -

Integrate pieces and/or provide your own tracker maybe
It is very frustrating that they give you boxes to check as done, but they can’t be checked because like with the nutrition, it never pulls in your information from my fitness pal.
Also your steps if it pulls in some information from Apple health, it could surely pull in your information about your steps and give you credit for them without losing your streak of doing your steps because you forgot to punch check a box3 votes -

Give trainers option to generate AI video showing my trainer’s entire workout so I don’t have to keep picking up and putting down my phone
This would ease burden on trainers to create a custom workout experience (merging custom workout with peloton type experience)

Be more like DuoLingo
Habit Tracking Preference (Duolingo-Style)
I like how Duolingo builds consistency through simple daily actions and meaningful milestone rewards. The daily focus is just showing up, checking the box, and moving forward — not spending extra time on constant confirmations or feedback.
What works best for me:
• Quick, efficient daily check-offs for habits
• No need for daily high-fives or pop-ups
• Let the consistency itself be the rewardWhere motivation really hits:
• 5-day streak
• 10-day
• 25-day
• 50-day
• 75-day milestonesThat’s when bigger recognition, encouragement, or feedback feels earned and motivating.

Create meals with individual ingredients so we can change them later if the recipe changes
I'd like to create meals by adding individual ingredients so I can swap out or change amounts later. I currently have to use MFP to create a meal to get the macros and calorie counts and then transfer that info into this one.

You should be able to concertina the exercises. Psychologically, seeing every item in every set full exposed is very deflating.
Most people don't gym for fun, it's a means to an end. Psychologically speaking, there is nothing more disheartening than coming off an 11 hour day and being met with a list that drags on and on. It makes you want to skip. If trainers, physics clients aren't wanting to exercise because of the app, they'll look elsewhere.

Break it out or don't add it.
So if you are going to list the food from a popular restaurant; then list the carb, protein, and fat break out. There's a huge difference between 600 calories from steak and 600 calories from pasta. Not to over simplify things, but if you are trying to pick the better of two choices it helps to know which meal choice contains how much of each of the nutrients. One person might need the extra carbs and another might be trying to avoid them altogether.
