Reinstate the option to include photos for custom exercises
I would like to bring back the option to use photos OR videos for custom exercises.
We believe video is the future and gives a much better user experience for better client retention.
It is really easy to do now. You can record short videos directly from your phone.

Please at least give us the choice!?

So why not have a CHOICE?? This is such an inconvenience for the trainer.

The videos in the bank often have a long lead in with an explanation that detracts from following workouts.

The problem arises when you have clients that only use print outs, and not the app. I printed a workout and the accompanying photo was of the YouTube cover with the Play button overlaying. This makes that photo completely useless.

I would like to have the ability to use pictures instead of videos for exercises. That way it could be faster for a client to see during a workout

I agree that video is best for the masses. BUT, it would help with accessibility if there was the option to add your own thumbnail or a couple of photos. For some of my older clients, they prefer a print out, so I print and then add photos to their workouts because they find their phone too challenging to navigate on their own. Those with cognitive challenges can read and follow the print out, but they have more difficulty using their phone. Even just being able to add a custom thumbnail would be helpful.

I use custom exercise option to add in "awareness instructions" like, "new circuit" or "switch sides". I also use custom exercises for things that would be inefficient to have a video for, like 200m sprint, swimming, or Farklet Run.
Allowing us to add a photo to custom exercises looks better than the grey image clients currently see, respectfully.
Also, allowing photos for custom exercises doesn't have to mean the removal of video. Why not both?

Yes, fully agree. Some (custom) exercises or recovery techniques like massages don't require a video but should include photos. This improves the customer experience.

PLEASE ALLOW A PICTURES OPTION.
Many people may not have an internet connection in their gym, so downloading large video files isn't possible during their workouts.
Many people still prefer to print out their workouts on paper. If you print it out, the pictures from your video is now only showing one potential position within the movement, is often difficult to see, and misleading.
THE LACK OF PICTURES FEATURE IS THE ONLY REASON I HAVEN'T USED THIS PROGRAM.
Please include a pictures option alongside the video option. There is no downside to having videos AND pics option. And I can't see this as a difficult added feature. Please help. -

When creating custom exercises, we should be able to upload just a picture and not only a video. For example, the cardio exercises that are already available have only an image, such as the Running exercise, and the Rowing Machine, and the Elliptical. Often I want to integrate a custom exercise into a client's routine, but it doesn't need a video. But I don't want it to show up with no image in their workout because that looks tacky...

Yes! I'm very unhappy with this change. I put a lot of time taking photos for stretches and other exercises, and now they show up grainy. Like Jessica mentioned above, many clients won't need to watch the videos after a few times and a photo would be more convenient for them to use.
It feels like this is a way to force us to use the video drive and pay for the storage, but I should definitely have the option for something as simple as a photo for what I already pay each year for your software. Also, a well framed and edited photo looks much more professional than a slopped together iPhone video on the video drive.

This needs to happen, and quickly. Not sure why it was removed in the first place.
