Add an "Other" option to sex
Use sex instead of gender. Allow option not to specify a biological sex.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your great suggestion! We’re marking this idea as completed! There is now a non-binary option that a client can select on setting up their account.
We’re returning your vote to you so please come back to ideas.trainerize.com to add your vote to other ideas.
Thanks!

Just remove the option. Lots of us don't want it.

Do this quickly and as well as doing something great and right for the world you could also get some good media coverage. If the Canadian Passport office can do it, you can too

OTHER, with an open space for customizing gender specification,
Agender
FTM
MTF
Gender Queer
Gender Fluid
Masuline of Center
Feminine of Center
I'm assuming you know/ can find out what FTM and MTF mean.I find the Other, custom option important if your format will support it as it allows people to tell you who they really are, even if the other options do not. There are so many ways to identify, I really feel you risk alienating people without that option.
I can see for a trainer how information about someone's given body type may be applicable but you will not know that from all of these options. I still think giving people a place to voice who they really are with someone they are going to work closely with on issues around their body, which can be upsetting to some trans* and gender diverse people, is important. If it matters, I would choose the Other category.
Thanks for asking. -

If you manage to action this quickly, it could lead to some great media coverage for your app (as well as just being a great thing to do!)

Gender has no use within the app, please remove it.

This question has nothing to do with the function of the app, please remove it.

Make the gender responses more inclusive, or remove the field in the app please.

This question not only isn't necessary but it is exclusionary.

I'm non-binary, and as it stands I can't use this app. Either make the gender field inclusive, or remove it entirely if it serves no actual purpose.

Please remove this irrelevant question. Thank you!

Yes, additional gender options. If Passport Canada can do it, so can you. And keep the Sex question if you like, just change the choices to "Yes, please" or "No, Thank You." ;)

It's very outdated, and not in favour of what is an otherwise good app. Just fix it asap before anyone more notices.

I train a number of transgender and non-binary clients and I'd like to see this option updated. Making my clients feel comfortable is my highest priority and while this may seem like a small issue to a binary gendered person it's a big deal for others who do not share our outlook. It's a simple fix! I bet you could roll it out in days with minimal effort!

I have many friends who are non-binary. Please either include more options or do away with the gender requirement.

I am a nonbinary person. Gender is not relevant to how most people train or to the app features. Please either provide additional gender options to be inclusive of everyone or remove the requirement.

Remove this field altogether!

Or better yet, remove it entirely!

I just got onto this app via the Roller Derby Athletics program and I was rather surprised to find a required binary selection for gender. Where I live, Oregon, they have even added a new option, (X, in addition to M & F) to the official drivers' license. Especially when you make it a required field, you must give options to not erase people's identity. If a slow moving bureaucratic state can add more options, you can too.

I'm just coming back here again to say now that I've started onboarding my clients to Trainerize, even my straight allies are coming to me and saying "why the binary option? that's offensive to some of my friends!"
