Allow individual customizations on top of master programs
Be able to add individual workouts, auto-messages on top of master programs so you can add another layer of customization.
Hi,
You voted for more flexibility with Master Programs. This is available with your ABC Trainerize account.
We’re continuing to build out tools shaped by feedback from the community, and this is one we’re closing the loop on. While it’s been available for some time, we want to make sure everyone is up to date on how you can use it.
What you can do:
- Customize any master program by importing it to the client, which makes a copy of the original, enabling you to adjust workouts and add unique sessions
- Layer in multiple programs with additional workouts, or on-demand content alongside a master program to build a more tailored experience
- Add automations, including messages, on top of a master program to support communication without changing the core structure
Our programming tools are designed to give you control to deliver the client experience you want. From small adjustments to building out additional layers with multiple programs and content.

You can copy a Program to a client, but then it's set as a new Training Plan. A good addition would be to copy a Program to the current Training Plan.

One other thing, clients can see their training plan plus one program at a time. They need to switch subscriptions to see a different program. They always have their personal training plan visible.

The recent addition of programs was a much awaited and needed feature. Well done!
However, I find that it's usefulness is limited when I can't make individual tweaks to clients who are subscribed to the program, or have multiple programs.
Three situations this is useful in:
1. Small group training. Let's say I have one client who can do pull-ups but one who needs to do rows. I need to be able to change this individually between clients while still having them subscribed to a program.2. A client 1 on 1 who is also doing group training. I want to be able to add whole workouts just to this kind of client.
3. A studio gym where clients can take several classes. When a client is taking a class, they can choose it from their list of subscribed programs. When they take a different class the next day, they can switch subscriptions.
Implementation: this could get messy, so here's how I see it implemented. Clients have a training plan and a list of subscribed programs to choose from. When they look at their training plan, subscribed workouts and measurements etc are included in addition to training plan workouts and measurements on the calendar. When I subscribe a client to a program, they get it and all changes to it as it is now. However, when I go edit or add a workout, that workout is moved to their training plan. If the program is unsubscribed from, they still have their training plan with individualized workouts.
