Have different daily macro goals for different days or workout / non-workout days for carb cycling
I do a lot of competition prep and within prepping meal plans. It would be great to set up different macro and calorie intake goals for different days out of the week. Because it would allow my clients to fully understand carb cycling. For now I have uploaded a pdf version of the meal plan showing that but would be great if that can be adjusted as well when it comes to programming it within your platform.
Hi everyone,

Ability to set different macros for different days in a week. Eg. You may be on 1300 calories 5 days a week and 1800 for the other two days.

This has been asked for so many times, but they don't seem to do anything with it and that dissapoints me sooo much. If you've found a way to make carb-cycling work in trainerize please let me know!

The option to set flexible daily calorie and macronutrient targets, rather than being locked into one static goal for the entire week.
Many advanced nutrition strategies, like carb cycling, calorie cycling, or refeed days, require daily adjustments to align with training schedules, activity levels, or specific metabolic goals. The current system of a single weekly target doesn't support this level of personalization.
The ideal solution would be the ability to customize calorie and macro goals for each individual day of the week within the same plan.
Key Benefits:
Advanced Personalization: Enables the creation of sophisticated diets like carb cycling (high-carb/low-carb days) or structured refeeding.
Real-World Alignment: Allows goals to match a client's fluctuating workout intensity and daily life (e.g., higher calories on heavy training days, lower on rest days).
Improved Adherence: Clients can plan for higher-calorie days socially or mentally, making the overall plan more sustainable.
This flexibility is essential for creating truly dynamic and effective nutrition plans for a wider range of clients and goals.
This version is professional, explains the "why" clearly, and positions the feature as a necessary tool for advanced planning.

still waiting, 8 years later, 737 votes...nothing. MFP has over 200 million users. Macro Counting is very much main stream now, and some of the most basic apps can do this. I love trainerize, don't get me wrong..but avoiding this huge opportunity and dismissing it "in the plans" year after year..just baffles the **** out of me.
Its clearly a hot topic..can someone please tell us why you are dragging your feet?

Hi everyone,
Thank you for continuing to share your insights and for expressing just how valuable this feature would be to your workflow. We completely understand the impact it could have and truly appreciate your patience as you wait for updates.
While this request has been marked as 'planned', signaling that it’s on our product team’s radar. It hasn’t yet progressed to the next stage of development. We understand it’s been a while, and we know many of you have been waiting a long time.
In the meantime, I wanted to highlight a few approaches that some users have found helpful as interim solutions. For instance, Custom Habits can be set up to reflect specific nutrition goals for different days, such as "Low Carb Day – under 50g." You can also reinforce these strategies with supportive content via PDF attachments (via message, or meal plan PDF) to guide clients through the adjustments on workout versus rest days.
While these options may not meet all your needs just yet, they’ve proven to be practical and effective in bridging the gap for many, and we hope they can help support your coaching in the short term.
We’ll keep collecting your feedback and will be sure to share updates as they become available. Thank you again for your continued patience and understanding.

Tracking different macros per day, a fasting option (or IF macros), and future date macro changes should be an option. Like next week I'm bulking and would like to be able to pretrack for menu building for grocery shopping to prep for next week.

It looks like this has been pending for several years- is there any update?? I should not have assumed this was a functionality of the app before I converted my clients to this platform.

The ability to have Calories and Macros set up for Training day and Non Training day, Or high and low days. Seems like a very simple addition that will make a huge difference.

I've been using the app for 4 years and it is insane to me that we can only set 1 set of macros. I have a lot clients that need carb cycling macros, or macros that change throughout the week.
Please Under "Nutrition Goals" Allow Us to Assign Macros to each day.
ex: Monday/Tues/Weds
ex: Thurs/Friday/Sat/Sunor training vs non training days

In the client daily nutrition goals we can only create a blanket goal. It would be awesome to have a feature where you can set days with different nutritional goals

Agree!!! I've been coaching for a long time and getting clients results comes down to smart dieting. you guys should implement an option for coaches to control the carbs and fats on EACH specific day

Please put this as priority. Most of apps have it and it would be awesome to have this feature in Trainerize.
What is the current status? The idea is from 2018, it was put in the work roadmap in 2022 and we are about to wrap up 2024... -

Just following up on previous comment about when this would be applied to the app. This should be a priority in my opinion. This is something trainers use with their clients all the time. Other training apps have it. So it can be done.
