Voice messages!

It’s a bit hard to get your excitement or instructions across when sending written messages so I think voice messaging would be a great addition. I’ve had clients reach out to me this way on IG and the response is much more fluid.

You and your client MUST be on app version v.7.114.0 in order for the voice message function to work on mobile. It will not  work otherwise. Certain Custom branded apps are still rolling out, but  you should be getting it shortly if you haven’t so far.

Few important things you should know about voice messages feature:

  • Voice messages are available in DMs, and Groups, and both on Web and Mobile.
  • You have 2 ways of sending voice message:

-Tap, Hold to Record and Release to send
        -Tap, Hold, Swipe up to lock for hands free, Record hands free and Tap to send

  • Length of voice message is up to 5min long.
  • You have ability to speed up the voice message to up to 2x.
  • Voice messages in groups are off by default for clients, but you can turn it on in the settings.
  • Just like any other message you can delete voice message.

Please note below items we are aware of an working on. We don’t have precise ETA yet for it:

  • User can’t start new thread with a voice message - currently in development and we will be releasing this fix soon
  • Trainer can’t turn off voice messages for clients in DMs - on the roadmap no ETA at the moment but you can vote for this idea here as we will be regularly checking demand for this which will help us prioritize this feature.

    This saves so much time, I see people have posted about it in the past but it hasn't been popular and I haven't a clue why?!

    Client checkins can be timely, especially if your trying to explain specifics over message or you try to arrange a time to jump on a call with your client, at times can be a mission impossible!

    Now I do currently do this on WhatsApp, but why not integrate such a system into this app?

    Voice notes save time, creates a better understanding, enables more description AND adds a greater personal touch.

    ABOVE all saves TIME, instead of throwing 20 messages back and forth you can get a full description over a 4/5 minus voice message.

    Get Voting! As this would turn into one of your most beneficial attributes to this application!

    With so many clients, I would rather talk on a voice message button like Facebook has instead of typing all the time.

    Just like iMessage, Facebook messenger, and Instagram dm you’re allowed to send voice recorded messages. This will be great because sometimes some information I want to pass to my clients is too much to write and too busy to get them on the phone. This will be more convenient for both parties

    I wish this app had a voice note option. Sometimes i can’t text at the moment leaving a voice note is easier

    Along with text in messaging, allow a walkie-talkie feature (like the Voxer app). Voxer allows walkie talkie (with options to listen in real time or at 2-4x speed), images, and video!

    It would be fantastic if there was a button which would allow us to record and send an audio message to clients. I am sending my clients audio messages using messenger so it's taking them away from the Trainerize app. It's causing confusion as they keep replying afterwards via messenger even though I ask them not to.

    This will allow clients and trainers be able to send voice or audio recordings through messenger. This is very helpful when we don’t have time to text or want to get to a specific point of clarification in a conversation.

    Yes!!! This would be incredible. This app is so close to a 1 stop shop, but instead I have to use WhatsApp now for voice messaging. Like others have said, a voice message can be delivered much quicker providing a more efficient and personal experience.

    I currently use Voxer with my clients because it’s so easy to talk to them. It would be so awesome if in the messaging feature there was also The ability to send a Voice Memos in the messaging feature. It would illuminate the need for Voxer and keep everything in this platform.

    I totally agree, sometimes it’s better to just send a voice message than texting. I switch to my iPhone and talk to them that way to get more information to them faster while I’m busy with other tasks.

    It would be Nice if you can upload vocal tracks that would actually coach the clients through motions so they don’t have to pause and watch videos.

    I want this so badly. I use Voxer because it saves so much time rather than typing out long messages to clients. It’s also more personal
