Make a myfitnesspal add-on feature
to allow for tracking nutrition along with training programs. many apps already sink with myfitnesspal, like fitbit and facebook.
Hi everyone,
We’ve just launch our MyFitnessPal integration. Thanks for your idea and please leave new suggestions on how we can improve this to help you monitor the nutrition of your clients.
You can find out more about it here:

This needs to be updated so that the Trainerize calendar will reflect cardio input in My fitness pal. Please keep me updated on this.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience. This is very much still happening.
This integration is in the final testing and will be out in the next 1-2 weeks. We're ironing out the last few bugs. Thanks! -

Is this integration still happening? If so, how do you integrate the 2 apps?

At this point it really doesn't matter how my clients track their food on the app, JUST DO IT! it can be as simple as the exercise portion as far as just entering a food and the amount they eat. Not being able to keep track my clients nutrition intake limits my ability to help them at least 50%. Tracking nutrition is just as important if not more important than tracking how much weight and how many reps they do!

Would love this to happen!
I'd like to view the charts that MFP offers on their trainerize profile. That way I can ensure they are staying within their macronutrients I've assigned and be able to see their progress all in one place. This would be great!
Workflow: I currently create my clients MFP login credentials and set them up so this would be awesome if trainerize's credentials worked for my clients using MFP.

Having macros per meal and weekly average macros per meal would be nice as well :)

I understand that development of a new feature like this takes time, but starting with the most basic function and deploy it to the trainers as soon as possible would be awesome.
We've seen you reply to a topic here before saying things are moving along, and then nothing happens for a year. More frequent updates, though smaller, are better than few updates even though they are bigger :)

Fiber, type of fat, etc could also be included of course

I'd like to be able set macro goals (each should have it own field) for the client within Trainerize. Then you could pull the daily numbers from MFP to Trainerize and make a weekly summary with average protein, carb and fat (and calories) consumed and how it relates to the goal. Weekly average is more important than daily summary.
Adding a link to the clients MFP profile could then make it easier for us to check in more detail what they ate.

Calorie intake
Macronutrient intake
Log of their food as well
Transfer of workouts performed to MFP
Integration with app so all can be tracked in one app -

Awesome news! The most important nutritional items for me to view would be:
1. Total calories consumed
2. Macronutrient breakdown
3. Amount of water consumedAs others have said, being able to view and manage the info from one app (all within trainerize) would be HUGE! I like the pie charts in MFP and would love to be able to view those as well in Trainerize.
More complicated and secondary requests would be:
- Allow the apps to communicate so body data from trainerize could be pulled into MFP when body stats are updated.
- Allow cardio workouts to be pulled from trainerize to MFP to easily track calories burned -

Good news as lots of people use and like MyFitnessPal.
Most other apps it seems that 'integrate' with MyFitnessPal simply pull in the data in summary, e.g. total calories consumed. What might be nice is if you could actually have a 'view' of MyFitnessPal from within the Trainerize app, i.e. the user only has to open a single app and they can use both systems, entering their food choices right there in the Trainerize app, rather than having to go to two separate apps.
If this is possible, I think it would really strengthen the selling point of Trainerize.
Thoughts welcome.
Thanks and good luck!

Awesome!! In my ideal set up:
Total calories
Macronutrient breakdown
Cups of Water
Total sugar
# of fruits and # of vegetables (I know this one is a long shot, but would love it!)
I analyze my clients' logs weekly and write all of this out and then give an average for the week of all of the above. So if there was a way that the system could do weekly averages that would also be amazing!!THANKS!

For me, this would be the most important data:
1. Total calories consumed
2. Macronutrient breakdown
3. Amount of water consumedThat would do it! Thanks.

So excited to see this! The ability for clients to enter their meals on MyFitnessPal and have that sync and show up on Teainerize will truly make Trainerize a complete system.
I would like to see what my clients have eaten and the macro and micro-nutrient data for those meals that MFP already tracks. This would be a huge help!

I too use myfitness pal to track clients food intake, having it all under 1 application would be a lot simpler for the trainer and the client. There are some software packages which already have food log ability, why cant trainerize?

Yes please! I use MyFitnessPal with all of my clients. I don't necessarily see a need for duplicate capability in Trainerize (MFP has such a huge database already populated and fantastic nutrient tracking options), but would love to see it linked somehow, so all their data can be viewed/managed in one place.

This add-on would take Trainerize to the next next level. I have been using Lose It, which is great. If we could link it to our Trainerize account that would be phenomenal!!!

Any word on myfitnesspal app coming on board? I recommend that app to all my clients and I'd hate to have to start from scratch on another one.
