User Interface upgrade
My clients have been using Everfit for the past few months, and while Trainerize has a much better workflow and options, clients feel like the app is a step-down compared to others in the industry, simply because the UI doesn't seem as 'slick'.
Without changing the skeleton/framework of the app, you could modernize the UI to match current market trends, using mini-animations, colour schemes and other UI modalities.
As they say - packaging is everything, and we want our clients to feel proud of the app they use.

While the app offers a lot of helpful information, the overall experience feels overwhelming. Updating it seems more like a chore than a convenience. The layout and requirements could be simplified to make it more user-friendly and less of a hassle.

I’ve been using Trainerise as a Coach for years. My most complaint is out outdated the app looks. LESS is more. Too many things on the home page, too many buttons, too many options. We need updated designs and simplicity.

The app needs a more modern design. A more flat and more “beautiful” interface.

Improve interface and modernise the look like HEVY have done. And maybe also show total load lifted at the end of the workout and compare to the previous sessions load so clients can see progressive overload from clear numerical data.

This app is horrible. The ui and core ux is so dated. I hate that my trainer uses it.
For example, why can’t you exit an active workout without canceling it and losing all your data?
Why are the yellow pause icons that show rest time so massive? It makes the workouts really hard to scan.
Why is my home page a giant list of mostly old workouts and future dates that aren’t relevant?
The core ux and visual design is so bad. If it weren’t for respecting my trainer I would have bolted a long time ago.
Look at the rep count app. It’s super simple. Mostly iOS ui. Way simpler and 100x better.
Hire a good designer and make a better app before you add something as frivolous as water tracking.

Thinking that you need new features make you a feature factory and you'll lose your users because you don't realize that basic ux/ui should really be improve.

The trends for ui/ux in the space are moving forward. we need to keep up. Were falling behind drastically.

We just changed to Trainerize for our members and training staff from another app for the member management portion and some of the training features.
I would completely agree that the UI, compared to our previous app, is definitely a step down. So far I'm incredibly disappointed by that.

Make your interface easier to use. I keep inputting stuff and it doesnr add. Your interface doesnt need to be such hard work. Also why do I need to sign in to post feedback, absolute RUBBISH

The app needs a redesign with a more modern ui/ux that is much nicer to use and doesn't look so old, I'm a programmer and I understand that this task is monumental, but sooner or later it has to be done, in 5 years the app won't it should look the same as it does now, you should constantly improve your design and user experience, what I recommend is to hire a team of very talented ui/ux designers to carry out this task, together with frontend developers trained to execute the new redesign of the app, I am sure that a radical change in the design of the app will cause great joy in the clients since it will be much more pleasant to use, I recommend hiring a world-class designer like Malewicz, I am sure that this will contribute a lot to the perception of value that people who use the application have

1 - don’t default to taking a picture to add a meal
2 - don’t default to a meal time that’s already been entered - if it’s a dinner and I’m adding more it should…
- add on to dinner or
- default to snack; and
- the meal selection should be placed at the end of the screen after meals have been input (so I not am surprised by a pop up)
3 - the moment I change the qty of a searched food, the app should default to adding a check next to that food - many times I’ve found the food entered the qty but forgot to check it to add it to the meal
4 - after adding a custom food, I should be able to immediately log it - right now I have to add a custom food then find it again on the list … this is silly if I am adding a custom food I want to add it to my meal immediately
5 - sometimes while working out I want to double check my food log for the day but the workout screen covers it - I should be able to switch to the main screen w/o canceling or having to save the workout
6 - when reviewing past workouts, add an icon like a star or trophy to indicate the workout was a PR -

This is a factor that is making me consider changing from Trainerize. Many of my coach colleagues have chosen other platforms based on this factor. The workout logging is severely lacking compared to other platforms like train heroic, truecoach etc

There's too much clicking in various parts of the interface. When I click an item in the check list, it should check off, it should NOT take me to an additional page where I have to click "Complete" and then click again to exit the screen. This is literally the purpose of a checklist, to complete tasks by checking them off.
It should also be way way easier to roll over unchecked tasks to the next day. Maybe a central feature where you decide if your default is to roll them over or to leave them behind.
Similarly, in the workouts there's just an aggravating amount of clicking to do what you're trying to do. ESPECIALLY if you need to change an assigned exercise. And there doesn't seem to be a way to undo it if you accidentally delete one.
The app has a friction problem. There's just too much friction where you don't want it.

There is a lot of dead space, whereas if the app was condensed to include a workout title, sets underneath within auto populated sets and reps from the previous exercises workout, an enter button that moves the cursor to the next entry (ex after entering reps, an enter moves it to weight, then again to next set reps, and so on), and a check mark after the set that if you press it logs the set and auto starts the rest timer.

Newer cleaner app, like Centr, MadFit, FitOn, etc. the platform seems like it’s very outdated compared to what’s our there. This is like 80s and we’re in 2020s

I really hope they are doing something about this. The interface/visuals are so important and I really feel that this is critical.

The app is hard to use and confusing and looks old, boring. Update the interface so it looks more modern.

Trainerize is a great app, but some feedback says the calendar and the ‘list style’ workout layout is a bit “ugly and outdated”
I would love to give clients the option to view a ‘card style’ layout, similar to true coach.
Are you planning on updating the app design anytime soon? -

Replicate what Apple does, ease of use. Fewer default options with the ability to customize / add preferred workouts.

This would need a very specific scope / outcome defined in order for me to vote and support. I have seen vastly too many decent apps attempt something like this and become much less "professional" by going too "cartoony" and "gamey".
