Enable syncing of body weight or body fat percentage from Apple Health to Trainerize
Given that there's people out there that have digital scales other than Withings that automatically send their weight to an app that either syncs with Apple Health or Apple Health directly, and the fact that most other things can be synced from Apple Health to Trainerize already - even unnecessary things like blood pressure and cycling distance, it shouldn't be so hard to allow syncing of body weight as well. Especially since body weight is likely one of the most important markers for most clients & coaches.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your great suggestion! We’re marking this idea as completed! Body weight and body fat can now be synced through Apple health. We’re returning your vote to you so please come back to ideas.trainerize.com to add your vote to other ideas.
Thanks!

Most of my clients use the Renpho Scale and it's synced to Apple Health but never pulls the full info into Trainerize! This should be seamless!

It's ridiculous that these metrics don't get transferred over. As OP stated, these are one the most widely used and important metrics to track for most clients. It's a real pain for my clients to manually input their weight every single day when it could very easily be automatically transferred. Trainerize, please fix this silly mistake, it's 2023.

We have a few members that are threatening to cancel service over this feature. Is there a plan to add this functionality?

This is a super obvious feature to include, why isn’t it pulling these figures from Apple health?

Absolutely ridiculous that this metric is not seamlessly included. CRITICAL to fix. Its 2023... should be a given for a respectable training app :(

It seems really stupid that syncing an extremely basic metric like body weight isn't in the app already. I use Lose It for my food and weight tracking and if this app just pulled in the weight data from Apple Health I would have it sync'd across everything I use. This app is the one outlier.

Has Trainerize committed to fixing this? They mention it in their Feature release doc back in October 2022: https://help.trainerize.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040311571-How-to-invite-clients-to-connect-their-Apple-Watch-what-syncs

Without this sync it’s enough to make me switch apps

+1 to syncing weight data. It's so fundamental and basic, I can't imagine why this isn't part of the standard synching behavior with Apple Health.

Yes, fully agree. It's odd that we can connect Apple Health but not sync all of the data we keep in there, like weight and body fat.

1000000% !!! Manually adding weight when I’ve invested in a Bluetooth scale is really silly

There are a few other requests/ideas asking to pull in weight, macros, workouts. Frustrating to have to tell my trainer basic information that is already in Apple health.

yes please!!! we need this! clients are getting frustrated with all the extra steps to connect say renpho scale to Fitbit to the app. Thanks!

Trainerize isn't pulling exercise sessions out of Apple Health, despite being authorised to do so. My workflow looks like:
I've got a program for cycling to adhere to:
- Do program which is recorded on my Wahoo Bolt exercise computer
- Results are uploaded to Strava and Apple Health from Wahoo Application (trainerize has no ability to receive from Wahoo Elemnt application)
- MyFitnessPal successfully gets the exercise data from Strava
- Trainerize which has no strava integration (see outstanding item from 2017 - https://ideas.trainerize.com/forums/167887-feature-requests-ideas-and-suggestions/suggestions/18586288-link-with-strava)
- Trainerize has authority to READ exercise data from Apple Health
- No Exercise output is put into Trainerize.1) Fix the Apple Health Integration
2) Add Strava Integration as per outstanding request from 2017
3) Add Wahoo Elemnt Integration -

It would be great if Trainerize could pull other information from the Apple Health App, such as macros, weight, body fat %. Thank you!

We'd like to be able to see our clients active heart rate on the dashboard as well as calories expended in each specific workout.
