notes specific to exercise
add a spot to each exercise that you can add notes during the session with a client that follows that exercise just like reps and weights. Example...Cable Overhead tricep extension note would be hole 10

I’m baffled how this isn’t a thing yet - what’s the chance of this feature being added?

Would love this feature! My clients really miss being able to jot down exercise-specific notes (seat setting, cue reminders, band color, discomfort, etc.) to reference next time they repeat the movement. It’s key for consistency and learning.

ability no give different names to each section (naming the superset and circuit) and to add notes/instructions to each one also (something like Trainheroic)

Even more the chance to attach audio message to the specific exercise (like in Quick Coach) in this way I can give more specific and personal instructions, the interaction with the client is massive, guys it is a game changer, it is the reason why I started online coaching! I really hope you add this tool (at least the personal notes for each exercise, that is the minimum) Please.

This is a must.

Yes please! So often we need words! Which machine was used. Or which color / size of band was used that day or why we had to go down in weights that day or what form tips to remember for that exercise for that individual!

That’s a great idea! 💡 Adding a notes section for each exercise would be super helpful — trainers could log quick details like machine settings, form cues, or client feedback. It’d make tracking progress and personalizing sessions much easier.

I would love a noted section for the trainer and for the client who is doing the workouts! Id love for clients to do dropset to failure for their last set of certain movements, but it’s really complicated to record that. With a notes section for each exercise a client could write “dropset for last set of curls: 15lb 15 reps, 12lbs 8 reps, 8lbs 5 reps til failure” etc

To track exercise-specific details more effectively, you can add a dedicated notes field for each exercise, similar to how you track reps and weights. This allows you to record important session details that may not fit into standard metrics.
For example:
Exercise: Cable Overhead Tricep Extension
Reps: 12
Weight: 35 lbs
Notes: Hole 10
This notes section can be used for things like:
Machine settings (e.g., hole 10, seat height 4)
Form cues (e.g., keep elbows tucked)
Client feedback (e.g., felt discomfort in left elbow)
Adjustments for next session (e.g., increase weight by 5 lbs next time)
By including a notes area for each exercise, you create a comprehensive log that helps track progress, maintain consistency, and customize sessions for each client.

Any update on this?

I understand that a customer can comment on an exercise, but not on a specific exercise. It is impossible to find these comments later if, for example, the customer has written their own notes on them.
Our customers would like to be able to make their own notes on a specific exercise that are easy to find.

As well as the ability for them to post VIDEOS! For Form checks!

Many clients request to input notes, like the height of block they used, etc. This allows a client to make their notes and use them the next they pull up the exercise in their program.

It would be good if clients had the possibility to add some notes on each exercise (ex: weight felt light on first 2 sets but last set was on the edge )

This, and allow clients to upload videos (of their form, etc) to specific sessions or exercises. I want to be able to look back at a session & see the videos a client sent at the time, not have to dig through my DMs back to that date.

Adding a notes option for each individual exercise for clientele. Having this option will allow for better communication flow about how an exercise felt, how the client felt (if had knee pain that day so did less reps) or maybe they were in a different gym and the machine was slightly different

This idea is reflected in a number of different ways in other suggestions (I know this because having recently started using Trainerize I came here to make sure you planned to implement it in the near future) I have in fact voted on a few variations of it before finding this one. It's a major weakness of the platform for coaches/clients who care about the quality of performance of each exercise and who care about implementing effective progressive overload. Truecoach and Everfit do it, as mentioned below, for something so apparently simple it would make such a significant improvement in the platform.

I'm surprised this feature is not available. I've used other training/programming apps, and having the client having the ability to post a video of their movement capacity and general patterns is essential to giving good feedback.

Yes this would be very useful! I use a different app to track my own workouts that has this and I use the note section to state any modifications I did for the exercise that day, for example doing slow controlled reps with a squeeze at top, or hinging at hip more in split squat to hit glutes more
