The Missing Feature: %-Based Lifting & Program Merging
I work with a lot of coaches and clients who use percentage-based lifts — for example, 4×4 @ 80%.
Right now, that means I have to:
• Check each client’s projected 1RM
• Calculate their individual 80%
• Manually input that number, client by client
It’s slow, clunky, and completely unnecessary.
Why isn’t there an option to:
• Program percentage-based lifting directly inside a program, and
• Create a master program for key lifts (e.g. bench periodisation)
• Then merge and order it with the client’s main program?
The client experience could be:
• One calendar
• One session flow
• Master program first → personal program immediately after
• No duplicate workouts, no confusion
All it would need is:
• Calendar overlap
• An execution order toggle (“run this before / after”)
That alone would eliminate hours of admin and make spreadsheets obsolete.
Honestly, this is the exact feature that would pull a huge number of coaches away from Excel because right now, no coaching app actually solves this properly.
