Goals
Clients buy the vision of what you will do for their bodies not the app itself, as awesome as what it is. Where's the section on goals, with deadlines to achieve these? Goals section please, so so important to know, keep track of and work towards. Auto reminder everyday to go out to the client reminding them of their most important goals and confirming they are achieving results that are helping them get there. Thanks D

So close with the Goals! Yes, with v6 you can now set Goals, but the % slider feedback option is cumbersome. Say I want an athlete to "Drink 3 liters of water a day" or "Get 8hrs sleep each night", "No Booze". "Increase Squat by 45lbs" How do you respond with a % of the goal completed?
Suggest options: Yes/No for each day, Add option for duration of the goal, Give simple metric like " Achieved goal 5 of 7 Days" or "8 days in a row" streak.
Options for number based goals: weight loss/ gain (or strength increases): Duration of goal, Target number. % of goal achieved metric. ex. Want to increase my squat to 135 in 4 weeks. Be able to enter number each time I squat. Enter 105. Goal could now read: 30lbs to go, 3 weeks left. Could work with any number based goal.

Please please need clients to see their goal as soon as they launch the app! Goals need to be on top of the dashboard even before the activity traking graph!

Such a great idea! Little reminders of their goals and the ability to track and check off habit based goals like in precision nutrition would be amazing to keep clients motivated, accountable and present with their journey

This should be incorporated into the other suggestion above of being able to put more than just workouts, check ins, weigh ins on the calendar.
There’s clearly a need for a better calendar system including goals and deadlines -

This is something that should certainly be expanded upon. I see there is now a goals tab in each clients profile, however some more features to this would be great.
1) Allow the client to see these goals so that when they open the app they can be reminded of what their current goals are. I like to set habit based goals such as eating X number of vegetables per meal or per day and allowing myself and the client to see those would be great.
2) A way to mark the goal as complete. When the client has been succeeding at accomplishing the goal, being able to mark the goal as complete and a message automatically sent to the client congratulating them on the accomplishment.
3) A wider range of goal types. Currently there is Nutrition Goal and General. I would like to see a Strength Goal, weight goal, habit goal, kitchen goal, etc.
4) A timeframe on the goal. A goal isn't very effective when there is no timeframe or urgency.
This is a start in the right direction but an expansion would be great1

Game changer for the app. 276 votes! Any progression on the feature?

Great stuff. This is the only thing that would make me consider using an alternative software. The lack of ability to track goals is a bit of a let down. Would love for this feature to come about.

Brilliant idea! At our facility we conduct a 4 weekly coaching session with clients in which we cover assessments, but also goal check in's, some subjective questions (like energy, sleep, stress) and have clients give ratings. It would be great to be able to record our own custom questions, goal check ins, give our own ratings/scores, and be able to compare the results over time.

Fitness is more than just workouts and healthy food. People realize they need a bigger reason to make it a lifestyle after they get in the flow to maintain consistency. Realizing their personal goals helps with consistency. Add in an area where the coach can write in goals for clients, as well as steps we're taking to help them get there. Only editable by the coach, and we can check it off once they've completed it. Would be nice to print out the summary for them at the end of their program so they can see their accomplishments.

YES! The "notes" section for each client can serve some of this purpose, but you can't include many characters in each note for one, and secondly the notes aren't able to be organized in any way. Habit tracking and goal capture is huge

No news on this 124 vote idea?

This could also work to track Habit Goals for the week or month.
Great idea!

Have a section where you can create short term and long term goals for clients. This can be tracked as needed and shown on a graph (like the body weight section) to show clients if there are hitting weekly/monthly/yearly goals.

This would add an unbelievable amount of value to the app! Even a little medal flashes up when they hit a goal and then they can click a button to share it to social media platforms which drive traffic to the your website. We do this ourselves manually but an integration would be great!
This right here >>>>>

How important is goalsetting? It's super freaking important. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that it's absolutely essential for the client easy access to their goals. What better location then to have their goals located directly next to their workout. The ability to upload clients goals to the Trainerize app would be a significant upgrade in my opinion.
Thank you in advance Trainerize,
