Coach / Trainer - ABC Trainerize

We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified.

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

Thanks!

  1. Undo button

I just used this app to design a program for my client, and when I accidentally deleted a workout, I couldn’t undo my action. Having a feature like an ‘undo’ button would be really helpful.

  2. Audio cues

Ability to turn off audio cues but still have bells or a notice of time running out on interval workouts. We often run workouts with our clients and the audio cues are invasive to the client experience, music, and the role of the trainer in the room, however we need some notice of time running out.

As a powerlifting coach having to put top sets & back off sets either next to each other or repeat the exercise separately. True coach allows you to input a lot of data into 1 exercise.

  4. Add an 'add all' button on 'Browse Trainerize Workout Library'

Save loads of time by being able to add all workouts into your library so you can then add them into programmes - it's extremely slow & monotonous to do it one at a time- as I'd like to create a on demand library of the follow along video workouts

Hey, pickleball is becoming way more popular, so it needs to be added. Also, boxing and kickboxing are missing, and they’re very popular too.

  7. Set up own workouts

The old app allowed us to set up our own workouts and track them. This app needs the same thing. Having to set them up wach day is cumbersome.

If you're looking to incorporate dip bars into your home workout routine, there are several options available depending on your space, budget, and goals. These are independent units that don’t require mounting or anchoring to a wall or the floor. They are portable and versatile.

  9. Clients start workout button needs to be at top of UI

After clicking scheduled workout, client should see "start workout" visible instead of having to scroll through entire preview.

Current version creates poor experience for both coach and client.

We either explain to every person they need to scroll to bottom or client has to ask coach how to start workout

  10. Dumbbell Incline Bench Row exercise wrong

The dumbbell incline bench row exercise video in the system describes the execution of the exercise as curling the weight to shoulder level. It should be "drive your elbows first, pulling them towards the ceiling and back towards your ribcage".

  13. Express Workout Toggle

Ability for clients to have the option for their workouts to toggled to "express" or "bodyweight" automatically if they are short on time or need to workout at home but still want to get a workout in. Instead of trainers have to create or build shorter workouts or bodyweight workouts as on demand programs

  14. Automatically start the rest timer after a set

I think it would be cool if it automatically started as well as had a big timer on half of the screen or something so it's obvious where your rest timer is at.

  15. Move all scheduled workouts a few days on at once.

If I miss a day I need to be able to move all my workouts on a day. However there is no bulk move option I can find and it takes ages to move all my scheduled workouts on a day (or more) by one.

  16. Specific Running workouts

I have a number of clients that are training for endurance events. It would be good to be able to programme their events for them using specific running programming.

For example, scheduling a run that would be a certain distance at a certain pace of level of intensity rather than just the option at the moment where you can only specify distance

  17. Adding a function to merge stats on a given exercise with different videos.

Have a function to merge stats of different videos of the same exercise. For instance. There are multiple selections for dumbbell bench press. If one trainer uses dumbbell one selection/video and another uses a different one for the same exercise, the stats will not transfer over.

  18. Enable trainer organization of master exercise library

There are a lot of great exercise options in the Trainerize master library, but there are also a lot of exercises that I will never assign to my clients. It'd be very helpful if there were a better way for trainers to organize their exercise library. Some suggestions:
    - Enable trainers to organize exercises into folders (similar to how workouts can be organized into folders) and/or
    - Enable trainers to add their own tags to exercise so trainer has more control over what is filtered in/out while searching for exercises

  19. S&C friendly programming (strength, speed, power, conditioning...)

It is hard to program as an S&C coach for athletes without lots of text in the workout and program description box.

If there were more workout options available, or if there were more descriptions for specific exercises such as tempo, velocity, % load or effort, RPE/RIR...

  20. Ability to see which clients need a new regime (further than just a week)

on the dashboard as a trainer, we can see clients who are due a new regime with a week's notice... I would like a function to change that span of time to 2 weeks or even further, just to give more lead time on building new workouts?

I know I can manually click through each client but this way would be much more convenient!
