Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Add gardening as activity with calories, estimated intensity and time

    I have some clients who do gardening and don't own a smartwatch to synchronize with TZ, so they never know how to gauge and log their exercise activity.

  2. Add comment field to activities

    For activities (running, walking, elliptical, etc) add a comment field so client can add details (level 15 on elliptical, incline % on treadmill, etc)

  3. Option to mute the demo videos I upload to the trainerize library

    I would like the option to mute the videos I upload to the library. Currently this feature is only on the trainerize exercise videos. My clients complain about the background noise on the videos I upload.

  5. Be able to edit sets of exercises in interval workouts over the workout schedule

    It would be great to be able to edit the sets of various exercises of interval workouts in the workout schedule. Currently, if I put in 3 sets of 45s, I can edit the 45s but not the number of sets, which is frustrating from a progression perspective.

  6. Be able to edit cardio exercises in workout schedule

    It would be great to be able to edit cardio exercises in the workout schedule after I've made a workout and scheduled it for certain days. Currently, it's not possible and if I put in 2km as part of a workout, that cannot be changed over the schedule.

  7. Progression spreadsheet should allow changing # of circuits in interval workouts

    When editing progressions in interval workouts, it would be useful to change the number of times a circuit is repeated from week to week. Right now, I can only edit rest intervals and set duration. Adding this change would make progressing client volume much easier.

  8. Ability to plan out muscle group volume by sets

    It can be challenging to calculate just how much volume a particular muscle group will receive in a workout and week. It would be great if the app could graph how many sets a particular muscle group will be exposed to in a workout and across the week when planning training programs. It would greatly benefit stimulus/fatigue management. I can't imagine this being too difficult to implement as the exercise library already has the main muscle groups for an exercise recorded; it would just need to calculate total sets per muscle group and graph/table it.

  9. AUTO SAVE FEATURE IN WORKOUT BUILDER

    There Is nothing more annoying than losing a workout after half way through building it due to connection trouble or computer freezing And auto save feature would be a great addition

  10. Better iPhone/iPad workout programming. It works fine on the computer but it could be a bit more user friendly on these 2 options.

    Sometimes the catalogue of draggable exercises isn’t always the easiest to drag over on an iPad and doesn’t quite show the all the exercises on the screen.

  13. Allowing Freestyle Workouts to be saved in clients workout

    When I create a freestyle workout, sometimes I want clients to re do that exact workout. There should be a way you can copy freestyle workout without having to re write the workout.

  14. Disable client's ability to see the Trainerize Master Library of exercises through substitutions or additions

    Because the clients can see the master library through substitutions or additions, it puts the coaches and clients at risk. Not only can the clients try workouts that the coach did not assign to them and potentially injure themselves, the clients can also create their own workouts and potentially be able to go at it on their own, which defeats the whole purpose of using the app.

  15. Change exercise type

    Be able to change exercise type for different workouts.

    Currently the exercise type (the way logging it displays for the client) is directly tied to each individual exercise. I’d like the ability to change this in each workout the exercise is programmed rather than having to create a different exercise.

    For example:
    Being able to change rowing to meters (distance)or calories (reps), or time.
    Or
    Being able to change an air squat from endurance (reps only) to general display for warmups.

    The exercise can still have a default type setting like it is currently, but the ability to change on…

  16. More unit options available for exercises

    Being able to choose the type of metrics for every exercise instead of being limited by certain exercises and the provided metrics.

    For example, a TechnoGym - Skill Mill exercise should have a dropdown menu option for choosing metrics like watts, Weight resistance, Distance should have an option for other distance units in addition miles (e.g., yards).

  17. schedule workouts in programs

    When scheduling workouts within a program, it would be extremely helpful to be able to see what days already have workouts on them. In other words, if I want to use the "schedule" button in the program builder to schedule "Workout 1" and "Workout 2" on alternating days, it would help to see what days already have a workout in them, as opposed to showing a blank calendar each time I open "Schedule." Maybe each workout within a program can have a different color, so I can see what days have what workout in them? Otherwise I'm always cross-referencing with…

    I work with a lot of hikers/outdoors people, and they like to share their mileage and elevation gain, not just the time it took to hike.

  19. Calendar View Options for Program Building

    From the trainers and client point of view, within the software, we see the sequential number of days since they started a training phase. Instead, it could include an option to change the view of the sequential training days to an exact calendar date of that particular year? It would be from the client and trainer point of view so that no matter how you look at it the client or the trainer can see their programming calendar the exact way they prefer.   20. Exercise Variations/Options

    It would be useful to be able to set suggested variations for exercises

    E.g.

    Exercise 1 - Bench press (Barbbell)

    If client doesnt have that piece of equipment they can select from a trainer suggested selection of swap ins.
    Trainer could then select, Db bench, chest press machine etc as suggested swaps

    Then if client makes the change, it allows them to permanently change that in their programme
