We are continually updating your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Have sets and weights auto fill with previous numbers.

    When I start a new workout or cardio, have the previous numbers default so that I don't have to navigate big fingers on tiny numbers. I can change if needed but it will save typing again if the same.

  4. Log and track food, calories and meals in app without having to link another app

    Should be able to log and track meals without having to link another meal tracking app, for example MyFitnessPal. I don't want to have to download several apps to use the Trainerize app my coach uses

    You can change your meal tracker by going to ... in the bottom menu. Selecting Meal tracker and select "In this app".


    This feature is available to everyone with app versions from 7.16 and up.

  7. Ability to rotate sideways horizontal/ landscape view for iPad / tablet

    So that the whole workout could be seen in landscape horizontal view, with bigger fonts please or something to make the no. Reps CLEAR FROM DISTANCE so we do not interrupt our exercise

  8. Allow me to put in my goals and tell me how far I am from it

    Let me put my weight goals for body weight or weight goals for exercises like bench press, or time for running etc

    With the latest app, there is a dedicated section in your plans tab where you can see your goals you set with trainer.

    As Trainerize is all about connecting you with your coaches and working with them via workouts/nutrition or other ways to hit your goals, we encourage you to contact your trainer to set a goal with you!

  10. Be able to track eating each day

    I'd like to be able to track what I eat within the app so my trainer can see what I've been eating, if it's already in the app, I can't find it.

    You can now track your eating on the most popular nutrition app MyFitnessPal and have it automatically sync over.

    We’ve just launch our MyFitnessPal integration. You can find it within your Settings > Apps and Devices.

    Simply connect your MyFitnessPal account and your meal data will be synced to Trainerize. We’ll import your last 2 weeks’ data when you connect, and any new meals logged on MyFitnessPal will automatically be imported.

    With this connection, your trainer can seamlessly see your caloric intake and carb/protein/fat breakdown per day on their end to help them monitor and customize your fitness plan.

  12. Built-in meal planner in the app that allows swaps and gives suggestions, instead of PDF

    I should be able to view my meal plan inside the app like a calendar instead of using a PDF. I should be able to print off shopping lists, swap out meals or repeat meals I like.

Users can now increase the font size in certain parts of the app by changing the setting on their phone and it will be reflected in the app. Please note that we will continue releasing new features and app screens in the future with the ability for large fonts so this project will be continues project as we keep working on improving the accessibility options of our product.

  15. Add a freestyle workout - Being able to enter a workout even if not in my plan made by my trainer

    When I'm traveling I cannot do the exact training plan I have, I wanted to enter a new TRX workout and I couldn't because my trainer didn't create one for me.

    You are now able to add a freestyle workout directly from the mobile app version 3.9. Simply tap +, then workouts and you can tap the new “FreeStyle” option to track one time freestyle workouts on your calendar.

  16. Intervals

    The timer feature is great. I believe it would help tremendously if I could program it to give me, say, intervals of 10 seconds with a two second pause between each. By example, if I do three sets of planks at 30 seconds of playing with a 10 second pause, having to start the timer once would be great.

    I’m glad to announce that the new app has a built-in interval timer so your trainer can now build an interval workout and you do not need to toggle out of the app to use another timer anymore.

  17. Sync weight and body fat % from Apple Health

    Steps already synchronize, it should be easy to synchronize weight as well. This is especially useful for those of us who use smart scales or are already logging out weight elsewhere.

    Hi everyone,

    We’ve released our Fitbit beta integration in our last release. You can find it within your app at Settings > Fitbit. Once you connect, we import 2 weeks worth of data into your app so your trainers can see. Currently we are importing your weight, body fat percentage and resting heart rate for your trainers to be able to monitor your fitness remotely.

  19. Add more cardio or activity types like tennis, basketball, baseball, dancing, hiking

    Just like we can now add custom habits, I want to add custom cardio activities. For example. There isn't even Tennis, Basketball, or any sports as cardio activities. I might create a custom activity called yard work, dancing, yoga, jump rope, skipping, football, pilates or hiking, etc...

  20. Include a way to record non-gym workouts such as time and distance of run, bike, swim, paddle, etc. so our trainer can integrate that info

    The cardio workout seems to be configured only to time a workout in the gym. I'd like to be able to record a road workout (run, bike, swim, kayak paddle, etc.) after it's completed so my trainer knows what I'm doing on my non-gym days and can integrate that info into my training plan for that week.
