Yes, having smaller options for variance is much needed. I have some clients (bodybuilding competitors) who need to be spot on almost daily - 0% variance.
While I wouldn't use this strict of an approach for a lifestyle client, having smaller % is also necessary because as calories increase, even 10% can become a pretty large variance.
For example:
10% for a client who is only eating 1500 kcal is only 150 kcal either way. Not a huge deal.
10% for a client who is eating 3200 kcal is 320 kcal either way. If this happened daily, that is 2240 kcal over the course of a week.

This is so critical. We have a record of all past habits, but not a record of past nutrition/macro goals.
I have hundreds of spreadsheets devoted to this, and they would be able to be eliminated if there was a history log + graphs showing macro changes.
