Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Customizable individual client check in forms

    Is there a way to customize client check in forms , i have many clients. Eg client A is great with macros, client B isnt good with macros. I don't want to send a generic check in form to all clients about macros. IS there a way to make each check in unique?

  2. Trainer email + app push notifications for client completed check-in forms

    When clients currently complete their check-in forms, there is no notification sent to the trainer via email or even an app push notification. Trainers have to manually review the "recent activities" section in the app to see if any check-in forms have been completed. Automatic trainer notifications for important high-priority tasks, like reviewing check-in forms, is vital.

  3. coaches to be able to do side by side comparisons in clients progress photos

    clients can do a side by side comparison of their photos in the app but as coaches we cannot on the web. Can we have this feature added so that when we are reviewing the clients photos we can see clearly how they are doing side by side please.

  4. Retention & Revenue Features to Increase Coach LTV and Platform Stickiness

    Hi Trainerize Product Team,

    I’m writing this as a high-ticket coaching business owner who uses your platform daily and genuinely wants to see it become the #1 business tool for serious online coaches — not just a workout delivery app.

    Right now, Trainerize is strong operationally for building programs and nutrition, habits. But it is missing critical sales, retention and revenue management features that would dramatically increase client lifetime value (LTV), coach revenue, and platform stickiness.

  5. Education section

    There needs to be an "Education" section or portal that is separate from workouts. Clients need to be able to refer to videos uploaded by the trainer for basic education for true remote coaching. This is already available on other apps and if not added makes Trainerize fall behind the competition

  7. Workout planning overview for coaches

    I’d like to suggest an improvement to the workout programming view for coaches.

    It would be extremely helpful if the programming interface worked more like a planner-style board, similar to Microsoft Planner. For example, having a clear overview of all training days in a client’s week (whether that’s 3, 4, or 5 days), where exercises can be easily dragged and dropped between days - just like moving tasks between buckets in Planner.

    This kind of visual overview would make it much easier to structure and balance workout splits across the week and ensure proper distribution of muscle groups. Coaches could…

  8. I would like to see a Coach's Option in the Mobile App

    I like to work on my client's on my phone while traveling or going on walks while getting my steps in but having to login to Trainerize through the web browser makes working on clients from my phone very difficult. It would be nice to have an option in the mobile app for a coach's view so we can work on our clients right from the app

  9. Suggestions to Improve Coaching Experience for Clients & Gym Members

    Hi everyone,

    I’ve been thinking about a few features that could really improve both the coaching workflow and the client experience on the platform.

    One big improvement would be the ability to add RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion level devil) and Tempo directly into exercises. These are essential for more structured and personalized training, especially for clients who need more guidance on intensity and execution.

    Another feature that would be incredibly helpful is the option to add alternative exercises. Instead of clients having to search through the entire exercise library, coaches could assign swap options directly within the program.…

  10. Nutrition Automations

    The following functions:
    • auto message sent when client doesn’t hit daily nutrition goal
    • auto message sent when client doesn’t hit daily nutrition goal 3 days in a row
    • auto message sent when client doesn’t hit daily nutrition goal 7 days in a row
    • auto message sent when client DOES hit daily nutrition goal for 3 days in a row

    Also a filter to prevent the same message being sent multiple times to a client, to prevent feelings of automation. This will help trainers identify clients barriers much quicker

  11. APPLY NOTES DIRECTLY TO A CLIENT'S WEIGHT TIMELIME.

    I would love to see a feature where we can add notes directly to a client's weight timeline to help identify weight trends and relationships between what caused a specific trend at a specific time. For example, I would love to be able to add a tick mark (note) to a date where they start prep, implement an enhancement, go on vacation, get sick, etc. So, we can easily see exactly when we started or implemented a variable and how they're weight trended as an effect.

  12. Coaches should be able to enter clients data such as body fat, weight, muscle mass

    It would be very helpful if coaches can enter in client information such as body weight, body fat, muscle mass percentages. A lot of my clients are busy and dont have to time to do admin things like this on top of logging their workouts, food, etc.

  14. check in tab 'at a glance' view

    under 'clients' add a tab called 'check ins' so we can see at a glance who has / has not completed their check in and chase them easily in the morning without having to go into each individual client account to check.

  16. Export client email addresses for a specific program

    For a Master Program, we should be easily able to export or directly email clients that are in a specific program. This would ideally also have the option to include clients who have previously purchased a program but are not currently active. Seeing as we cannot message inactive clients from the Trainerize messages, we need an easier way to reach them. Going through the entire client list and selecting (by memory) the clients is a huge hassle.

  18. A "View only" feature to re-activate someone's account without notifying them via email.

    I have a team of coaches, and they "close someone out" and deactivate when someone is finished. As a Coaching Coordinator, I re-activate a client who ended their program to look at progress, stats, use photos for marketing, etc., and it sends the welcome activated email to the client. At times, this confuses the client, thinking they are not completed with their coaching.

  19. Exercise check off boxes for the client as they progress through the workout

    It would be great if clients can check off the individual exercises as they move through the work out each day, like a to do list. This would allow trainer's to see which exercises clients are doing consistently and which may need to be modified, exchanged, or removed. It would further be helpful for clients to be able to input when they do something extra or replace an exercise on their own.
