Allow trainers to enter own meals into the smart meal planner
Trainers enter their own meals with pictures & macros which appear as choices when meal plan is generated from macros
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your great suggestion! We’re marking this idea as completed! You can learn more about it here. Please note that you can swap any system meals with your own but Smart Meal Planner still can be generated only with system meals due to algorithm. We are working on improving the backend so the SMP can be generated in the future using your custom recipes as well. It will be possible later next year.
We’re returning your vote to you so please come back to ideas.trainerize.com to add your vote to other ideas.
Thanks!

Veryvery necessary! Some clients have specific needs which are not in line with the meals available.

Urgently need this one.. I am from Australia and we have different foods/ingredients here so I really need to add my own recipes and meal plan style., also would love to be able to tweak those macro and allow clients to use my recipes but also track their own foods too

This is absolutely critical - seems bizarre to have a custom meal option in the Master Library but not be able to use them to assign to clients. It makes no sense. I know they can access it in the discover tab but my clients want my meals that I create for them. I like the user face of the smart meal plan option but why can't we make a weeks worth of meals? I don't have time to refresh their meals every 3 days. I'm willing to add my own meals for variety but again, I can't even assign the meals to them. this needs to be pushed fast because I am currently paying for the smart meal tracker and evolution nutrition and I can't pay for both for long so one needs to go.

I'm currently on a trial and this was one of the main features I was looking for. It will be one of the main reasons for my decision to stay or leave.

I coach competitors and need to be able to quickly adjust meals. An option to create specific meals just by selecting custom foods and serving sizes and building out meals as if they were in MyFitnessPal would be perfect.

same comments as below. I built out meal plan PDFs for my clients which they love, tried adding as master meal into Trainerize and it won't allow me to transfer over into my client's meal planner.

I have created some meals which my clients already love, for them to use within their nutrition plan - However, these are appearing in my master library of meals, but not appearing when I try and add them to my clients plans.

This is critical for trainers like me who don't use English or Imperial units with their clients. My business is centered on Romanian people and I would really like having my own options in romanian. People don't even know how to read the ingredient list with Ounces and Cups :)).

We need to be able to customise the smart plans. I have clients that have a set recipe they use every day that doesn't "conform" to the parameters set by the planner. As such we need to be able to shift the macros for each meal. Some clients like to eat a heavier meal in the middle of the day and stick to lighter snacks towards the end of the day.
Snack options should have an option to be left as a macro spec. So many clients just grab a protein bar/shake or something on the go.

Definitely need to be able to put in our own exact meals. Like a my fitness pal planner.

I came from another software that allowed the coach to pick the number of meals, adjust macro percentages, adjust macros for each meal (including snacks), and adjust within each meal specifically to real dial in on the macros in a specific meal. You could also enter your specific meals or ingredients.
It’s possible, just going to take some time. Excellent feature though.

I find it too complicated. No one has time to shop for all those meals, then prepare several times a day. This is the feedback I've been getting.

YES!
1) - Ability to custom create meals and also meal plans.
2) - We should be able to custom choose the ratio of macros (not 3 options)
3) - There should be a Macro only option and clients can pick meals that will fill their caloric allowance from the database or custom databases created by us the trainersThis will be a deciding factor if I continue to use this feature.

!! Super Critical !! The current meal planner is very limited. It would be a great feature to be able to add custom recipes/meals, custom macros, and allow the client to be able to track/add meals to their log.
As a Dietitian, I'd love to have my clients use 1 app instead of Trainerize & MyFitnessPal to see their fitness & nutrition. I know other training pros would appreciate that too.
