notes specific to exercise
add a spot to each exercise that you can add notes during the session with a client that follows that exercise just like reps and weights. Example...Cable Overhead tricep extension note would be hole 10

Let people leave notes on their sets so they can look back on them the next week to see if they should go up in weight/ stay/ drop weight

Can’t believe this was discussed nearly two years ago and still doesn’t seem to have been added... Am I missing it somewhere? This is a big thing for me and my clients, so it looks like I’m going to be using TrueCoach!

I totally agree with Liam's (and all the comments). It's one of my factors for trying to choose between Trainerize and TrueCoach. I prefer the way that Trainerize sets up the workouts for clients to follow, but the challenge is on the feedback side - clients' ability to provide simple input or upload a video with a set to review form, etc. I also do a lot of work with seniors in their homes and we use bands rather than weights for many of them, but there is no way to note what bands we used, if we had to make any alterations to a set, one leg having more balance than another, etc.

Hi I'm new and testing out Trainerize and I noticed this post has been in here for a few years. It would be nice to get some update on what's going on with this. I'm currently using TrueCoach and the client feedback feature for each exercise was one of my favourite feature with TrueCoach. I think allowing clients to add a note or video for each exercise will help improve the software. I would like to be able to review their notes as I check in their completed workout log

Let the client make a note on a particular set of an exercise.
For example on the last set of a barbell bench press, The client would be able to make a note that they could only get three reps versus five. Or they can make a note about how their shoulder felt weird when they hit the last set of an exercise. -

My client would like to make notes about the exercise right next to where you can edit or input reps and lbs, instead of another click to the comment's or in the chat box.

It's so so useful especially now that we're training with bands and random objects to specify "today I add 1 can to the squat / I used two bands together / I kept the legs straight during my table body rows".
Super important to be able to see past exercises notes as you can see past PBs -

Indispensabile when you increase the intensity of the exercise without increasing the weight or when you have to quickly change an exercise for one that is not in yhe exercise library

Every time I work with a client I wish this feature existed...workouts don't always go as planned and things have to be changed on the fly. Those things need to be documented to explain why the change was made. i.e. John is scheduled to perform 5 sets of back squats but only completes three sets. As his trainer I want there to be a record of WHY he only completed three. Was he tired? Injured? Ran out of time? Poor form so I changed the exercise all together?

Hi Trevor, are you still reviewing this?

For example a client might add a note to their set that says “this felt easy, could increase weight next time” and then they can view this when they come to their next workout.

This has been under review for ages, any further success with having this available. It would be greatly useful to add notes for exercises so they can check what happened last session.

a "notes" section for each exercise for:
-trainers: no we can give them additional instructions
-clients: so they can make notes for each exercise if needed throughout their workout -

Great - we had some space to do this but Trainerize left the feature for us but cut the number of characters that the clients can see. So now we have to re-do 2 years work and put all in the instruction section. Clients really are not enjoying this - did log a bug ........
