Choose your own exercise video thumbnails
Most of my videos start with a blank screen so it would be help to be able to choose your own thumbnails.

The current strategy is pretty bad.
A lot of my workouts start with certain custom exercises and these either all use the same video or in some cases no video at all. As a result, all my workouts look like one of three things, a blank gray square, a cardio placeholder, or the same thumbnail from one single video.
Being able to set a custom thumbnail for exercises is critical.
Being able to set a custom thumbnail for workouts is also critical.
Fine to default to current behavior but we need the ability to override.

Give trainers the ability to choose the thumbnail image for the exercise video uploaded
All my videos thumbnails look the same because I can’t choose the image I want to use for the exercises
Which makes them difficult to differentiate without watching the video
If I had the ability to edit my video thumbnail I could use a still shot of the actual exercise
Or choose an image from my camera roll that coincides with my video

It would be great if you would support using gif as an upload type for exercises

Giving us the option would be great!

Be able to implement set images to a workout, as in a thumbnail image of sorts so that the image of the workout is not just the image of the first video.

I agree. Usually I upload videos to YouTube and then use them but when in a hurry, or if I have a video I don't want on YouTube, it would be good to upload the video right to Trainerize. However, having a black screen as the image in the workout doesn't look good. I won't upload directly to Trainerize for now because of this issues.

I like that they have a "Running" still image available, but what if we want to add something else like "Elliptical" in this case we can have all of the workouts in ONE PLACE! It's a little disconnected to have workouts in one place and cardio assignments need to be viewed on calendar. Also, more seasoned clients could just view the still, instead of seeing a video clip of a guy sitting on the floor etc. So, it would be aesthetically more pleasing as well as functional.

Being able to upload an image of each movement / exercise was by far easier and more convenient for both coach an athlete (when compared to video upload). It was the main selling point for me and the many other coaches. I suggested trainerize to these other coaches for the simple fact of the image upload.

After creating a workout with a number of exercises, in the training plan, each workout is illustrated with the image or video thumbnail of the first exercise in that workout. For instance, I might have a leg workout, and the first exercise is a warmup with the image of a person warming up on a treadmill. This image is not really representative of the workout I created, I might prefer to have an image of a barbell squat, or a lunge - but I might not want that exercise first. In fact, it would be nice to be able to have an image for the exercises as well that are independent of the video that is connected to it. This would greatly enhance the ability to create a truly professional.
