I find this idea to be unworkable unless and until Trainerize actually tracks reps and weights in a meaningful fashion to begin with.
Without that, what this is essentially seeking is just one more free text field to add to an exercise instance. Not terribly compelling IMO.
I would go further and say that there are probably a number of requests on here, each with a different take on what is basically the same data model issue at heart.
Trainerize admins should identify and recognize this loud clamor for a more logical approach to tracking workout details that demands changing the data model in a fundamental way and lump them all together into one request with all the votes. It would very likely be at the top of the pile of feature ideas.

The feature as currently implemented makes things harder instead of easier.
Clients get tripped up 90% of the time because they see a weight listed there and take it as gospel. What they don't realize is that the weight will vary according to reps being performed as well as the exact machine being used, which can even vary within a single gym, but definitely varies between one gym and another.
I've had too many clients look at heavy weights we have done together try to use those same weights when I give them "high rep" homework designed to help them practice the movement as opposed to lift heavy. I've also had too many clients who use more than one gym (or train with me in one and use another themselves) who are totally misled by this field as a result.Chris K supported this idea ·

The notes feature for clients absolutely needs to include some kind of "next steps" list… and this list should percolate into a Master Todo List (whether that be per-trainer, per-site, or per-business… though I feel per-trainer makes the most sense).
In addition, said Master Todo List, as it should be accessible from the top level of the application, should offer the ability to edit, add, and delete todo entries, whether they are pertinent to one client, more than one client, any master program, or just in general (for things like products to be managed, etc). Finally, due dates should be assignable so we can be notified of approaching or passed dates. Items without due dates could simply be lumped into a single "due" item that we are notified about on a weekly basis.

The current strategy is pretty bad.
A lot of my workouts start with certain custom exercises and these either all use the same video or in some cases no video at all. As a result, all my workouts look like one of three things, a blank gray square, a cardio placeholder, or the same thumbnail from one single video.
Being able to set a custom thumbnail for exercises is critical.
Being able to set a custom thumbnail for workouts is also critical.
Fine to default to current behavior but we need the ability to override.

Only seeing 6 clients at a time is ludicrous. Anything under 50 clients and they should all be visible on one page. There's no need to paginate like this.
Better batch editing would be nice too.
