allow client to add notes for each excercise
Now, it's possible for clients to make notes for the whole workout, but not for each excercise. Would be great to do that (Example: "Reduced weight bench press due to DOMS" --> barbell bench press. "New record, yes!" --> Barbell Squat)
Otherwise, great job! Love your Service and my clients do too.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your great suggestion! We've added this to our work queue. We'll post further updates here as our teams pick it up to work on it. Please come back to ideas.trainerize.com to add your vote to other ideas.
Thanks!

Let the client make a note on a particular set of an exercise.
For example on the last set of a barbell bench press, The client would be able to make a note that they could only get three reps versus five. Or they can make a note about how their shoulder felt weird when they hit the last set of an exercise. -

My client would like to make notes about the exercise right next to where you can edit or input reps and lbs, instead of another click to the comment's or in the chat box.

It's so so useful especially now that we're training with bands and random objects to specify "today I add 1 can to the squat / I used two bands together / I kept the legs straight during my table body rows".
Super important to be able to see past exercises notes as you can see past PBs -

Indispensabile when you increase the intensity of the exercise without increasing the weight or when you have to quickly change an exercise for one that is not in yhe exercise library

Every time I work with a client I wish this feature existed...workouts don't always go as planned and things have to be changed on the fly. Those things need to be documented to explain why the change was made. i.e. John is scheduled to perform 5 sets of back squats but only completes three sets. As his trainer I want there to be a record of WHY he only completed three. Was he tired? Injured? Ran out of time? Poor form so I changed the exercise all together?

Hi Trevor, are you still reviewing this?

For example a client might add a note to their set that says “this felt easy, could increase weight next time” and then they can view this when they come to their next workout.

This has been under review for ages, any further success with having this available. It would be greatly useful to add notes for exercises so they can check what happened last session.

a "notes" section for each exercise for:
-trainers: no we can give them additional instructions
-clients: so they can make notes for each exercise if needed throughout their workout -

Great - we had some space to do this but Trainerize left the feature for us but cut the number of characters that the clients can see. So now we have to re-do 2 years work and put all in the instruction section. Clients really are not enjoying this - did log a bug ........

This is a major lacking feature in Trainerize, in my opinion! Would be great to have it ASAP. My clients used commenting on specific exercises extensively with the previous app we used. E.g. there's nowhere to notate "red band" or "medium resistance" for mini-bands and resistance band exercises. Many of my clients train exclusively at home, and right now the only option is to input a number for weight, which doesn't work for bands.

You could easily have an icon that says something like “see specific instructions”
And then it will be a pop up that they can close after they read it

I want to be able to write something like.
“Give me 2 sets of 10, last set hit a triple drop set. Once you hit failure, do partials from the bottom”

Yes! I always have to type “See note above” and type my note up in the Instructions section. Would be much better for the client and trainer if I could type the whole note beside the exercise.

I've been BEGGING for this feature for I don't know how long. The last reply I got was "we found that this would make the screen too crowded". How about a little icon next to the exercise that would open up any comments left on that exercise with dates? Shouldn't be a hard thing to do.
Not just for instructions, but also things like forced reps, RPE, if the exercise was assisted etc...
