Coach / Trainer - ABC Trainerize

We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified.

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

Thanks!

  1. Make it easier to swap/substitute exercises when programming

It would be much easier for us coaches to swap/substitute similar exercises in and out as we create a program. Instead, we have to delete the old and search up a whole new exercise when replacing what a client did prior. This makes fluid exercise progression challenging for clients that like variety.

If we could link together similar lifts / exercises and quickly toggle and swap in a new exercise it would be great.

  2. Basic Workout Routine on a Compact Exercise Bike

A compact exercise bike is a smaller, space-saving version of a traditional stationary bike, designed for home use or limited spaces. These bikes are ideal for people who want a low-impact cardio workout but have limited space in their homes or apartments. They typically offer the same features as full-sized bikes but with a more compact and portable design.

Key Features of Compact Exercise Bike
Space-Saving Design: Smaller footprint, often foldable or with adjustable handlebars and seats for easy storage.
Adjustable Resistance: Similar to regular exercise bikes, they allow you to adjust the difficulty of your workout by increasing or…

  4. Highlight completed sets

After metrics for a given exercise is completed, highlight the area so the clients can easily track their progress as they go down the list. When the clients are tired, the last thing they want to do is try to search for their given spot if they accidentally scrolled up/down. Marking by highlight would promote ease of use and self tracking for them.

  5. I think it is an absolute must for clients to be able to mark/check off an In person class as if it were a regular scheduled "workout".

I think this has to be a must because If a client is always doing your in person class as their workout every day they need to be able to check in/mark it off to receive credit for doing their daily workout! That way it keeps a running tally on how many workouts they completed, workout streaks, etc

  6. How to Perform Chin Up Bar Dips

Chin up Bar Dips are a great bodyweight exercise for the upper body. They can help build upper body strength and improve muscle tone when done correctly.

How to Perform Chin Up Bar Dips

    Set Up the Chin-Up Bar:
Use a sturdy high pull-up or chin up bar dips that can support your body weight. If you don't have a bar with adjustable height, make sure it’s high enough for your feet to hang freely without touching the ground when you are in the starting position.

  10. Exercise and weights

Have been using app as a client for over a year now.
    1. Machine assisted machines e.g. chin up machine assisted, the weight improvement works in reverse, I.e. the less weight used the more the improvement. However PBs don't work like this.
    2. It would be super useful to have targeted muscle group images against exercises to check that exercises are being done correctly.
3.make feedback link accessible through app.

    Many thanks
    Jo

  11. Alert coaches when an exercise was recently programmed for a client

Alert coaches when an exercise was recently programmed for a client when making new programming. This will save time when creating new programs for clients as it won't be necessary to look back at all previous to make sure exercises aren't being repeated too much.

  12. Progression Spreadsheet Updates on Program Calendar

Issue: When you update a program exercise by changing it on a program that exists on a calendar, the exercise does not update on the scheduled calendar.

Discussion: This is an issue because you can never change a exercise on an existing program without unscheduling the whole workout and redoing the progression spreadsheet.

Recommendation: Allow changes to the workout exercises and progression spreadsheet that will also update on the program calendar.

I just used this app to design a program for my client, and when I accidentally deleted a workout, I couldn’t undo my action. Having a feature like an ‘undo’ button would be really helpful.

  14. Audio cues

Ability to turn off audio cues but still have bells or a notice of time running out on interval workouts. We often run workouts with our clients and the audio cues are invasive to the client experience, music, and the role of the trainer in the room, however we need some notice of time running out.

  15. Allow multiple entries for an exercise

As a powerlifting coach having to put top sets & back off sets either next to each other or repeat the exercise separately. True coach allows you to input a lot of data into 1 exercise.

    Set 2: 4reps 81.1% RPE 7/10
    Set 3: 6reps 73.9% RPE 6/10

  16. AI Training Focus Automations

Coaches can select various AI-powered training focus automations for their client’s programs:

Progressive Overload: AI adjusts reps, sets, and weight progression automatically based on client performance. The system increases the intensity over time to ensure the client is continuously improving.
Auto-Regulated Training (RPE/Fatigue): The AI guides the client to adjust the intensity of their workout by suggesting the appropriate number of reps and weight to use based on their perceived exertion (RPE) or fatigue level.
Muscle Endurance Focus: For endurance training, the AI sets higher rep ranges (12-20+ reps) with lighter weights for improving muscular endurance.
    Strength Focus: When focusing…

  17. Add an 'add all' button on 'Browse Trainerize Workout Library'

Save loads of time by being able to add all workouts into your library so you can then add them into programmes - it's extremely slow & monotonous to do it one at a time- as I'd like to create a on demand library of the follow along video workouts
