Allow trainers to log into the app and track their own workouts.
PLEASE make the app recognize that we as trainers, actually use the app for our own workouts as well. There is no reason we should have to use a different email account for our training and workouts than we use to log in to access our clients. It allows me to track my own workouts as the trainer, but it doesn’t recognize that I have “logged in” at all. Therefore, when you make new changes we all wanted, like the Apple Watch syncing, it doesn’t show up for us unless we log out completely, log in to our never used email account as if we were “only” a client. With all of the great technology this app uses, I don’t understand how this is not something we already have. I get that we have to take up a spot in our client list to record our workouts, but there should be the option to do so AS THE TRAINER/owner, rather than logging out, re-logging in, and then having to sit through initializing the app/icon/message/notification setting prompts, just to get to our own profile. And then after completing our own workout, when our next client comes in, we have to now log out of our account, re-log in advance the trainer, wait again for the app to load and initialize, set our notifications all back up the way we need them for our business etc. It just seems so redundant and this seems like a basic function. What trainer doesn’t use the app for their own workouts too?
*I posted this in your Facebook Habits group and the overwhelming consensus was that most want this to be a thing. It is tedious and just annoying to have to log out and log back in or to keep logging out workouts as if we are not in our own profile.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for coming to the idea forum and adding your vote to this idea.
We’re keeping this set to ‘Not Right Now’, as this isn’t something we have any immediate plans to implement.
As Trainerize is really built from day 1 for a client signing in to interact with their trainers and track their fitness.
However, you can use the Peak Fitness labs app and sign in as a client. This is the app we use to train our team internally but you can sign in with your credentials.
iOS:

Android:

We appreciate you sharing your thoughts. We’re returning your vote to you. Please come back and vote on ideas.trainerize.com.
Thanks.

Trainers should defintely be able to get a complimentary seat as well as a client/trainer mode we can use as needed

I agree we should get a free seat.
I also agree, that, ideally, the app would support both modes (as user and as trainer).
That said, for those who are currently struggling with this, know that you CAN download another app by Trainerize… called Peak Fitness… and log into it as your "client self". It will work identical to Trainerize's Fitness App, as if you were a client using it (except that you don't see your custom branding if you have it).

I hate having to take a paid seat for myself, its so crazy. Signing in and out repeatedly is so annoying on top of that

YES this is so crucial!!!

💯, this would be very helpful, even more to understand when the client is struggling with certain issues.

Absolutely, I completely agree with you! It's quite logical for trainers who are already paying for the app to have their own dedicated profile for tracking their workouts and stats. It doesn't make sense to use up a valuable client seat for this purpose. Having a separate profile for trainers could streamline the process and make the overall experience much smoother. This would not only be more efficient but also a fair arrangement for trainers who are investing in the app. Your suggestion could definitely improve the user experience and save both time and resources.

This would also be helpful for ACTUALLY seeing what your client sees. What we're able to see as supposedly the "clients perspective" still isn't what they actually see. Unless you log out of your trainer profile and log back in with your client profile, what you see isn't actually what your clients are seeing. It makes it difficult to help them when they ask questions since we aren't seeing what they see. And yes it would also just be nice to use for our own workouts without using a client seat. I think if we are selling it to our clients we should also be using it and getting the same experience they are.

I have no idea how my clients are experiencing my program. Having to sign in and out is also tedious work. I'm paying for the service, I should be able to use it fully.

I completely agree with this. Would help us better understand the client experience.

I 100% agree with this. I need to be able to track my own stats and use them as potential examples, and not have to login or out each time I need to track for myself.

As a trainer who pays for the app, I should automatically get my own profile to log/track my stats and workouts, instead of having to create a separate profile for myself and taking up an actual client seat that I am paying for. This has never made sense to me.

Just making it simple like being able to switch between trainer and client with a simple click and not having to log out and back in would be amazing

It is absolutely unacceptable that this hasn’t been added. Trainers are their own clients too, guys

This feature should be moved up on the list. Not only for myself as a coach but I coach my trainers and they have to have two separate accounts. And if I log into my client account to do a workout I have to remember to log back into my trainer account or I miss messages. The best way to promote an app is to be able to use it. The functionality of the client profiles need to be added to the trainer profiles

I would love if there was the ability to switch between my 2 profiles. I wish I could switch easily from my trainer account to my account as a client. So that I don’t have to sign in and out multiple times a day.

Use an app called peak fitness, it's the same as trainerize and you can have yourself as a client on here and do your workouts via peak

Allow trainerize trainers to have the ability to be both a trainer and a client.
I have hired a trainerize trainer for myself and I constantly have to log out of my trainerize acct to switch to my trainers acct to be a client. Is there a way for me to switch between accts without logging off each acct and logging back in? -

can there be an easier way when using the app to switch between my personal account and my work account so I can easily finish my day off at work then just press 1 option to switch to my personal account so I can follow the program from my coach.
-
Krista commented
Being able to be a coach and a client in the same login/account. I am a client of the person who has hired me so it’d be easier to be able to take care of my own progress under the login I use with my own clients versus logging out and logging in to another account.

Option to have a profile for yourself, so can set up a training plan to follow, without having to create yourself as a client, so adding to your number of registered clients using the program
