Allow manual tracking of steps without having to sync a device
I have clients that do not use a smart watch, but wear a pedometer and their step goals are important to them. It would be great if there was a way for them (or me even) to enter their steps manually so that they can see how they are improving over time.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for coming to the idea forum and adding your vote to this idea.
We’re keeping this set to ‘Not Right Now’, as we’re building out challenges and we do not want clients to be able to cheat the system through manual entry.
If you are looking at more connections to the app. Please get your clients to vote on feedback.trainerize.com.
Healthkit (use your iPhone’s set counter – is available now – go to More to connect)
Google Fit (use your android phone’s step counter) : https://bit.ly/3vTUoKw
Samsung Galaxy Watches

We’re returning your vote to you so please come back to ideas.trainerize.com to add your vote to other ideas.
Thanks!

If a client has a tracking device that doesn’t sync, allow the client to input number of steps.

This is essential to track data, especially it you do not allow for all watches to connect with your app. E.g Garmin. Can‘t understand why you wouldn‘t see the need for this. Not user-friendly at all

Just allow clients to log actual number of steps per day manually. Show a weekly average perhaps? Trainers able to set a step goal average as well?

This is an absurdly simple integration that is only necessary due to your poor integration of popular wearables. I dont understand why your organization is so set on being intentionally hostile toward its users.

I agree with this 100%. My clients have Garmins and can’t log steps.

Any particular reason other than blinkered market centric profiteering that you're choosing not to open up your app to people that don't use the companies that you're partnered with.. Asking for a friend.

This is can done currently. My clients use the Fitbit app to log a "walk" each day with the distance their "device" tells them. This is also possible using the Withings Health Mate app and connecting it to Samsung Health, etc

Make it possible for client’s phones to track steps.. like the internal pedometer built into the Apple health app on iPhone

I have a Garmin and my steps won't sync with Trainerize and I can't add my steps in manually. Do I need to update my version of the app?
