Coach / Trainer - ABC Trainerize

We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified.

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

Thanks!

  1. AI generation for programs and/or workouts

PLEASE INTEGRATE AI ! There are other companies doing it and it saves SO MUCH TIME.
Building workouts on Trainerize is tedious.

The ideal would be to have AI integration built in so that we can provide goals, injuries, and any other specifications so it builds a shell that we can modify.
The next best thing would be copy/pasting the workout with things like sets, supersets, timing, etc so that the platform can autopopulate a workout for us to edit instead of clicking around trying to find things which, sometimes, are named differently in trainerize than what the exercise is…

  2. Drag and Drop Programming for Arranging Order of Workouts in a Program vs having to Un-schedule then Re-Schedule everything

When creating workout programs we should be able to place various workouts in the order we choose using drag and drop feature vs having to schedule every workout module in the exact order we want, ie., warm up, core, strength, cardio, etc. Often times when changing something in a workout plan I have to un-schedule all of the workouts for that day/phase and then reschedule every item/workout model in the exact order I want it, otherwise you are dealing with issues such as the warm up routine being placed at the end of the workout on the clients training calendar,…

  3. Who is watching our custom workout videos?

Having recently spent time creating/editing and uploading specific workout videos for our clients, it would be really useful to see how many clients/which clients have viewed them so we can gage engagement. thanks

  4. Trainers own profile for their own person training

Have trainers be able to have their own training profile without having to sign out then sign into a different profile. Going through the entire process of signing out, then signing in and going through all the prompts is so annoying.

  5. Adding in combo exercies

I know this has been mentioned, but I wanted to bring it up again. It would make it easier then me having to video all the combo exercises. I get you won't cover all of them, but a squat to overhead press for example, or lunge with a bicep curl. Some of the basic ones would be wonderful.

  7. the aesthetic of the app when the workout is on, is terrible.

How the workout its shown to the client, or to coaches for offline clients, is a terrible experience.
It is too old, not pleasant to the eyes, just ugly.
If this make sense, I mean the screen when you add kilos and repetition. If this improves, the app would gain so much!
I would say is (for me) the biggest point at the moment.

all the rest is great. this stays for me the best app on the market. but just such a pity for the aesthetic that is honesty terrible.

  9. Gym Programs and Workouts in Trainerize Program Library

There is currently an option for "Full Gym" programs under the "Equipment" filter in the Trainerize Program Library, however, there are no programs or workouts under this filter selection.

It's a bit odd for a platform who's implementation by coaches is predominantly gym/weights based training to not have any available in the library

  10. Include Exercise Formats

Currently Trainerize only offers supersets and circuits as available formats. Include more exercise formats such as AMRAP, Tabata and EMOM.

These formats can also be optimised by offering sectional formatting blocks where coaches can add titles, parameters and descriptions.

  11. WOD function

I would love to be able to create a WOD for a client and then be able to add it in as an ongoing workout for the client to repeat. Currently if I'm making a WOD for a client I have to rewrite it every time.

  12. Add box for Reps, Tempo, RIR, & Notes for each set within each exercise

Add a spot for Reps, Tempo, Reps-in-Reserve (RIR), and Notes for clients to add notes specific for that exercise for their self to track and us as the coach to track.

These should be added for each set of each Exercise.
Coaches should be allowed to configure each set of each exercise exactly how they want.

    I.E.:
    Set 1 - 12 Reps / 3s Negative / 3 RIR / To light increase weight next week
    Set 2 - 12 Reps / 2s Negative / 2 RIR / Notes here
    Set 3 - 12 Reps / 1s Negative / 1 RIR…

  14. Easier movement swaps without ruining progressions

It would make my life so much simpler if we were able to swap movements within a training phase without having to redo all the progressions. Each time a client requests a movement swap, I have to change the movement, reprogram all the days for that workout and then redo all the progressions. If there was a way to just swap in or add in a new movement without ruining all the progressions, that would make things SO much more efficient.

  15. Animated

Have a library of exercises with animated videos. This would eliminate the need for trainers to have spend hours uploading themselves doing exercises; as well as not having to use the existing pre-made exercise videos, which could affect individual trainers/studios branding.

  16. Exercise note included in history

Show exercise note alongside history. Underneath the exed use name you have the ability to write down rep range, tempo, ROM etc. When you view the history of an exercise it would be helpful to show the notes for that exercises. For example, take a regular lat pulldown done for 10 reps at 100 lbs on one day. Then on the next session you decided to add an eccentric tempo for 10 reps at 90 lbs. The history currently shows 100lbs one day and 90 lbs on the following without any context. It would be nice to see that the…

  17. Spring Clips Upgrade

Barbell Collar is highly recommended because spring clips are difficult for both men and women with small hands to use. They find it too strong and cannot put it on.

  19. Please add distance strength exercise type

We have “strength" exercises (reps and weight) and "timed strength” (seconds and weight) but we do not have “distance strength” (distance and weight) exercise types. Its a simple addition and crucial. For example for sled push, farmers carry, suitcase, carry, etc. the list goes on and on. Many programs involve these drills and trainerize even has carries on their list of drills.

  20. AI Training Focus Automations

Coaches can select various AI-powered training focus automations for their client’s programs:

Progressive Overload: AI adjusts reps, sets, and weight progression automatically based on client performance. The system increases the intensity over time to ensure the client is continuously improving.
Auto-Regulated Training (RPE/Fatigue): The AI guides the client to adjust the intensity of their workout by suggesting the appropriate number of reps and weight to use based on their perceived exertion (RPE) or fatigue level.
Muscle Endurance Focus: For endurance training, the AI sets higher rep ranges (12-20+ reps) with lighter weights for improving muscular endurance.
    Strength Focus: When focusing…
