We are continually upgrading your fitness app with new features based on your feedback. Please add a new idea, or vote on an existing idea. This ensures your ideas don't get lost and always visible and other users can upvote your ideas. The idea forum allows us to keep a pulse check on what our user community as a whole wants.

Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Clients are getting last session's reps/weights and this session's confused

    Some of my clients are getting last and this session's reps/weights/sets confused and repeating last's sessions variables, again and again and again... Having spoken to them, this is because the layout of where the prescribed variables and previous variables are shown in the workout tracker. I would suggest making it clearer as to which is which, through either labels, fonts or a different layout, as this has happened a number of times now.

  2. Enhancing User Experience: Introducing the 'Exit Safety' Feature

    Have you ever been working diligently on Trainerize, only to accidentally click the back button and lose all your progress? It can be frustrating and time-consuming to redo everything. I've come up with a solution that could save us all from these unwanted mishaps.

    I'm suggesting the implementation of an "Are You Sure You Want to Exit?" option. This would appear as a pop-up window whenever we attempt to leave a page with unsaved changes.     We have many clients subscribed to a single master program but each client has their individual needs. We would like the ability to change the workout that is subscribed with their master program, within the individual clients profile.

  5. instead of time based programmes, set amount of cycles through a plan

    Instead of setting a set amount of time/end date for a programme to run

    set a certain amount of cycles to the programme

    for example a client has 4 sessions on their plan and the plan runs until they have completed 4 run throughs of it instead of a 4 week programme

  7. Ordering Clients However You Want, not just by name/date added etc.

    The easiest way to keep track of which clients you've already checked in with and updated programs for is by going in the order they are listed in the client dashboard. You can organize that order by name/date added etc. However, the clients I want to check in with first are the ones who have been with me the longest or are the most active. "Date Added" orders clients from newest to oldest. If there was a way to organize them from oldest to newest that would be better in my opinion. It would also just be nice to be…

  8. Enter ‘habits’ or tasks directly in calendar

    I would love to be able to add habits - or if you want a new function, tasks - directly to the calendar, the same way we can add a workout or cardio session etc

    I like to plan my client calendars and sometimes I will need to click on one day and write something, so to remind myself of the phase we are in. For example, clicking on a day and entering “dieting phase starts today” and then we both see it and they can also click it to tick it. I also do this in the past if…

    Have a background notification when your rest time is finished.

    Allow this to be push notified if the client is outside of the app.

  10. Disabling what notifications a group sees based on each individual not just the group as a whole

    I like that you can customize what daily accomplishments the group will see like completed workouts, habits, daily nutrition, etc. But it would be nice to have a general setting for the entire group, then be able to further customize for individuals. I have some clients that don't want a particular daily habit to get sent to the entire group when the accomplish it, but I don't want to disable habits from showing for the entire group necessarily.   11. Better Congruency with Exercise Categories

    The categories don't always make sense with what is displayed and then what the client actually sees.

    For instance: Some "Timed (Longer Better)" exercises like Runner Stretch can only be entered in with reps not time by the trainer, which makes no sense. But then when the client actually enters what they did the option they see is to enter in seconds.

    Another example where things don't line up well is with endurance exercises. While the trainer does get to choose between reps or time for endurance exercises, the client only sees reps regardless. So even though it would make…

  12. Ability to Change Progression for Timed Exercises

    If you create a client a regular workout and have them do an exercise for a certain amount of time, you aren't able to increase the time in the progression spreadsheet unless that exercise is a "cardio" exercise. Obviously you can label the exercise as such but then it adds a ton of extra categories for the client that don't apply to the exercise. You also can't edit exercises from the Trainerize library, so if you are using one of those and want to have the client do it for time, there won't be any way to increase the time…

  13. Auto Fix all intervals/targets/rest periods when designing workouts

    When designing a client's workouts, I'd often like to ensure they have the same targets or rest times for each exercise. Every activity is different, and it would be nice to select all or a few to adjust all at once rather than go individually to change the targets and rest times. It feels like tedious work with a simple solution.

  14. Display the points breakout for challenges (client & coach)

    As a client, I would like to see the breakout for how my points are tallied instead of just seeing my total.

    I think this could easily and cleanly be provided with a 3rd icon on the bottom challenges view and would show a table of the challenge items, points per, my # of events in that category, and then that line item subtotal. And then at the bottom, or top, would the cumulative total.

  15. Ability to remove all weight/body size language

    We are in the era of body positivity and using body weight to identify goals is so last decade. Let’s get with the times and let coaches have the option to turn that question off as the question itself can drive away business from people who are adverse to it.

    Bulk import from YouTube is totally inefficient as now YouTube only lets you upload 15 videos at a time.

    We need a way to efficiently upload and label videos without the tedious click click click wait game.

    Ability to change the time a client receives a reminder about their appointment on the app and also option to send email to remind them.

  18. Allow to schedule multiple things like before in Calendar

    The most recent calendar update took away the option I had before to schedule body stats. Before I could schedule an auto message, select body stat photos, and body stats (so all three things), could be scheduled and chosen to repeat, all in one go. Now I have to seperately select each option and tell each seperate thing to repeat, so it's a slower process, not an upgrade. I actually don't like the new Calendar at all. It just tells me how many workouts a client has done, but I can no longer view WHICH workouts (like how many times…

  19. Allow clients to see their workout calendar when they log in via computer as it was previously.

    My athlete would pull up his current workout and previous workout on different browsers/screens to input his new weight/rep scheme. Being able to view the workout from the calendar has bee requested by more than one client already.

  20. Turn off stacked program feature

    I'm an online trainer who uses master library programs for all of my clients. Since the stacked program feature has rolled out, my clients now see two programs under the workout tab - their usually master program, as well as "client name's workout", which is completely empty.

    Queue mass confusion about what their program actually is.

    I understand that stacked programs have a use case for many trainers, but this new addition has torpedoed the app for other trainers like me whose clients just want simplicity.
