Why should I vote?
This forum allows us to more accurately prioritize ideas to ensure a system of fairness by executing on improvements needed more urgently by a larger cohort of our user community, in order of voting priority. It offers you transparency into what we're reviewing, starting and have completed.

Vote subscribes you to the idea so when its status changes, you'll get notified. 

When does an idea get picked up?
The higher the votes, the more likely the idea will be completed but there is no fixed formula if an idea will be picked up as it is just one avenue we look at. The idea forum is only one of the many avenues we use to evaluate an idea's feasibility. We also factor in your conversations with our support team, in-app surveys, Facebook beta groups,  complexity of the idea, talks with our inner circle of users and how it fits with the overall vision of the platform.

For example, "Portuguese support" was for the longest time in our top 3. But embarking on that would significantly dent our ability to serve our primary English speaking community effectively.

  1. Adding a dropset, cluster set, pnf, 1/2 rep, reps in reserve option to exercises.

    A button or easy way to instruct clients to do dropsets burnouts, cluster sets ect on the last set of certain exercises

  2. Ability for Trainers to program "Recommended Substitutes" in the Workout Editor to allow for Equipment Availability/Progressions

    With the world going in and out of lockdowns, equipment availability is ever-changing. Additionally, delivering Group Training Programs, different members may have differing Equipment Availability, Personal Preferences & Levels Of Skill

    The ability to program a primary exercise, with additional options that a trainer can program/recommend as an appropriate variation/substitute... this would work wonders in creating a highly adaptable program for the member's experience

    I currently work around this issue by "Supersetting" exercise options based on equipment availability together for each movement pattern into movement-type categories with written explainers to help provide more information & variety with exercise selection for…

  3. Ability to PAUSE a clients program.

    Need to be able to put a pause on a clients program. Say they are away from 2 weeks on vacation, ability to pause for the 2 weeks (or however long) then start back where they left off when they return.

  4. Exporting Workouts/Programs to PDF

    Can we please have someone spend a bit of time rehashing the PDF export for the workouts? Every time I export my workouts to a PDF, I have to put them through Google Sheets first, so that when printed they line up a bit nicer, and look like some thought has gone into the formatting.

    Specifically;

    (1) It would be really great if the printouts were such a size that the average person's handwriting would actually fit in the boxes,
    (2) Furthermore to this, if I've spent the time to go through and edit all the workouts in the spreadsheet…

  5. Remove estimated workout time (or make it optional)

    Estimated workout time is inaccurate (too short) 99% of the time. Clients are constantly messaging us, wondering if they should’ve done their workouts in half the time — or less. It adds an unnecessary layer of pressure for folks who are already feeling anxious about starting a new program. Please remove, or at least make it optional.

  7. In- Workout personal notes

    The ability for subscribers to add notes to individual exercises in the workouts

    Could be a simple three dot menu next to the exercise that brings up a drop down that says
    - too light
    - just right
    - too heavy

    Or even better would be a small description box with smaller font so could see custom note in next workout
    Examples:
    - felt a weird punch
    - weight felt light today
    - next workout go up/ do more reps

    Could be next to previous weeks reps x weight area

  8. create and edit master programs in mobile or ipad app

    There isnt a way to create master programs, or a program at all in the app. The app isn’t very user friendly for the trainer

  9. Put boxing, kickboxing and Brazilian jujitsu as options for cardio.

  10. Zone interval training / metcon cardio intervals

    Customize zone targets time in cardio workouts. Zone 1 for 5 min, zone 2 for 10 min, etc. Build a heart rate interval workout.

  11. BRING BACK The Client calendar view on Web that was removed Today!

    Today Trainerize removed the Client Calendar View on the Web Version. This was extremely helpful for my clients. It allowed them to easily adjust my programming to fit their schedule in the matter of seconds.

    The app take several clicks per each day to move a workout to another day. But the calendar view on the web allowed them to easily drag and drop and rearrange their workouts.

    Perfect example: Today a client reached out because this feature was removed and said "her ***** at work changed, and she needed to move her 2 rest days to different days of…

  15. Automatically generate weights based on percentages using the clients 1 rep max numbers

    If I design a program that is using a percentages based progression structure it would be great to be able to enter (ex. 65%) and based on their 1rep max numbers the app automatically generates the load (ex. 200 lbs) in the program for that exercise.

  17. Training days and rest days macros. Add macros in overall program.

    Being able to prescribe training day macros and rest day macros to a client would be ideal. Also being able to add daily nutrition goals and habits to the overall program would be awesome. Thanks.

  18. Automatically play custom videos (uploaded or imported from YouTube)?

    I chose the Trainerize platform for its ability to be customised for my business, however, when I assign exercises with my own custom videos, the videos do not automatically play as the default Trainerize videos do. There shouldn't be any reason for this - the platform can obviously autoplay videos.

  19. Enable Expiring Program Tags When Subscribed To Master/On-Demand Programs

    Trainers should be able to enable to see when clients custom programs are expiring or expired, but unfortunately that isn't the case when they are also subscribed to a master program or on-demand program library. This is a big flaw as many master programs linked to groups or on-demand programs are now being used to compliment clients custom primary programs, and not just as an alternative to them.

  20. Be able to print the Progression spreadsheet

    This will allow you to track & see (all in one sheet) what your client has done in previous weeks while you are on the floor with them in their session.
    I am currently copying the tracking sheet from the previous week onto a blank tracking sheet for the current session, so I can see what they did last week.
